  • Publication number: 20240121058
Abstract: A system, method, and device for ensuring a number of Phase Tracking Reference Signal(s) (PT-RSs) are the same for multiple slots. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive control information including a number of scheduled resource blocks (RBs) then determine a PT-RS density based on the number of scheduled RBs. The WTRU may determine a RB offset value for the WTRU based on a WTRU-ID modulo the maximum RB offset value, where the maximum value for the RB offset value may be based on at least one of the number of the scheduled RBs and the PT-RS density. The WTRU may then transmit or receive a signal with PT-RS based on the RB offset value.

  • Publication number: 20050053253
Abstract: A loudspeaker assembly. This invention provides for a loud speaker assembly that rear-mounts a transducer so that the sound emanating from the transducer does not pass through a “tunnel” created by the thickness of the outer baffle surface or grille frame. In addition, the loudspeaker assembly can be provided with a natural appearing cabinet and can be used outdoors.

  • Patent number: 6070694
Abstract: A loudspeaker assembly with a transducer capable of being swiveled to direct the sound to a convenient point thereby allowing the listener to select the optimal direction of sound. The assembly comprises a unique design which prevents the transducer from dropping below the plane of the speaker's baffle, thereby eliminating diffraction of sound waves which arise when sound radiates off the sharp edge of the cavity wall upon rotation of the transducer. The assembly allows a listener to adjust a transducer, such as the high-range frequency tweeter component of an in-wall speaker to his liking, without the need to remove and/or re-install the speaker in the wall. The assembly is equally adaptable to the interior of a vehicle or for use as a free-standing floor speaker. The assembly provides a unique speaker with a pivoting transducer which provides quality, multi-directional sound, free from any distortion created by the diffraction of sound waves.

  • Patent number: 6026927
Abstract: A speaker assembly with a unique sound driver sub-baffle assembly which can be pivoted forward and backward, as well as rotated clockwise or counter-clockwise 360 degrees via the use of a rotatable turntable mounted within the speaker's baffle. The assembly allows a listener to manually alter the orientation and direction of the speaker's transducers thereby allowing for optimal dispersion control after the speaker is installed in a wall, regardless of the speaker's position within a room. The sub-baffle assembly, when pivoted to its maximum limit, provides a flush, continuous surface with the inner rim of the rotatable turntable, allowing a listener to control dispersion of the sound waves without creating distortion. Further, the transducers embedded within the sub-baffle assembly are maintained in a coplanar relationship throughout rotation and pivoting.

  • Patent number: 5534713
Abstract: A method and a layered planar heterostructure comprising one of or both n and p-channel field effect transistors is described incorporating a plurality of semiconductor layers on a semiconductor substrate wherein one layer is silicon or silicon germanium under tensile strain and one layer is silicon germanium under compressive strain whereby n channel field effect transistors may be formed with a silicon or silicon germanium layer under tension and p-channel field effect transistors may be formed with a silicon germanium layer under compression. The plurality of layers may be common to both subsequently formed p and n-channel field effect transistors which may be interconnected to form CMOS circuits. The invention overcomes the problem of forming separate and different layered structures for p and n-channel field effect transistors for CMOS circuitry on ULSI chips.

  • Patent number: 4282435
Abstract: The ability to measure the ratio of vapor versus liquid in a nuclear steam generating system is highly desirable, particularly since, during transient events such as rapid depressurization, the vapor may not be in thermal equilibrium with its liquid and its distribution in the liquid may be highly non-uniform. By using a relatively mono-energetic neutron source such as Californium 252, exposing the medium under investigation to the radiation and using a proton recoil detector as an energy discriminating counter one can estimate the ratio of vapor to liquid by measuring the reduction of flux loss due to scattering when the medium includes vapor as well as liquid.
