  • Publication number: 20090026049
Abstract: The subject matter of the present invention is a device for monitoring the flow rate of a medium in a continuous flow device such as a tube, a water distribution system, a heating boiler or the like, comprising a paddle pivotally mounted in a housing and comprising at its end a paddle blade that projects into the flow of the continuous flow device, the paddle's pole (11) comprising two opposing axle journals (25) that are rotatably receivable in the housing (2), said paddle's pole (11) being adapted to be introduced into said housing and the axle journals (25) being adapted to be snap-fit into bearing bushings (3), said paddle's pole (11) being elastically deformable in the region of the axle journals (25) in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the axle journals by the fact that the paddle's pole (11) comprises a slot-like opening (24) in the region of the axle journals.

  • Patent number: 6311569
Abstract: The device is used to determine the flow rate of a medium, e.g. of a fluid or a gas, including a housing (1) with a chamber (2) through which the medium is axially flowing and which receives an impeller wheel (10) with one blade (13), whereas the impeller wheel (10) is provided with a carrier body (12) having a centrical boring (15) for receiving an axle (11), whereas the carrier body (12) is provided in the area of the axle (11) with at least one opening (12a) running radially to the centrical boring in the carrier body (12), whereas the axle (11) is arranged in the carrier body (12) by at least one, preferably two radial bearings (17, 18), whereas a radial allowance is provided between the boring of the carrier body (12) and the axle (11), whereas, due to the radial allowance between boring (15) in the carrier body (12) and axle (11), water is entering at the open side of the boring (15) and is exiting through the radially running opening (12a) in the carrier body (12).
