  • Patent number: 8879521
Abstract: A technique for handling mobile terminating calls in a distributed switch is described. The switch includes at least one cluster wherein the at least one cluster comprises a plurality of cluster members. Each cluster member is associated with a set of roaming numbers and adapted to route a mobile terminating call to either a recipient subscriber served by the cluster member or to another cluster member which serves the recipient subscriber. The at least one cluster further comprises a first data structure having a content that is common to and accessible by all the cluster members of the cluster. The first data structure specifies the plurality of cluster members and the roaming number set associated with each cluster member.

  • Patent number: 8214479
Abstract: This invention relates to the field of Telecommunications, in specific to a distribution mechanism for distributing calls within a Mobile Switching Center Server Blade Cluster. In particular, a method and a corresponding distributor entity for providing scalability and redundancy in blade cluster comprising a plurality of server blades of a telecommunication system are disclosed. The method comprises the steps of receiving a message of a subscriber comprising a unique subscriber identifier determining by use of the unique subscriber identifier a first value and determining by said first value a first server blade of said blade cluster, Further, by use of the unique subscriber identifier a second value is determined and by use of said second value a second server blade of said blade cluster, whereby the first server blade is excluded from being determined.

  • Patent number: 7860001
Abstract: A telecommunications system. The system includes a communications network. The system includes N nodes, where N is an integer greater than or equal to 2, which run a same or different applications and process a same or different ranges of application level traffic, and which communicate with each other through the network using signaling by SIGTRAN protocols. Each of the N nodes has a full receive state where a node receives any type of traffic from the other nodes and an isolated receive state where the node only receives allocated traffic from the other nodes. The node sends traffic to the other nodes whether the node is in the full receive state or the isolated receive state. A method for communicating.
