  • Patent number: 6666058
Abstract: A method for producing a, in particular thin-walled, pipe conduit element with a surface structure reinforcing the pipe conduit element is proposed wherein the pipe conduit element continuously passes by at least one embossing element guided about the periphery of the jacket thereof and the surface structure is embossed onto the jacket of the pipe conduit element by the embossing element using pure mechanical pressure. For embossing the surface structure onto the pipe conduit element, an arrangement of preferably several embossing elements, in particular balls or rollers are used which are distributed about the periphery of the pipe conduit element jacket. The invention also concerns a device for producing a surface structured pipe conduit element using a guidance having embossing elements and which can be rotated about the periphery of the jacket of a pipe conduit element continuously supplied to the device.

  • Patent number: 6223849
Abstract: In a device for the bearing of a component of a motor vehicle such as an exhaust gas assembly on the chassis of the motor vehicle, connecting components are provided for mounting respectively to at least the chassis of the motor vehicle and to the component which can move relative to each other, and which engage at least one damped resilient wire element.

  • Patent number: 5791697
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for the movable connection of pipe ends, particularly of motor vehicle exhaust systems, with a flexible pipe element, such as a metal bellows, hose or the like, and with damped, spring elastic elements acting between the connection ends of the flexible pipe element. Such a device must have a simple construction, but must on the one hand compensate the relative movements acting between said connection ends and on the other ensure the necessary restoring forces for restoring the pipe element to its central position. In such a device, the invention provides for the elements to be held in expanding fastenings of supports parts, so that the linear spring characteristic of the elements is progressively modified by the expanding fastenings.

  • Patent number: 5506376
Abstract: The invention proposes an apparatus for damping or absorbing vibrations in an exhaust system of a vehicle, having two connection ends, at least one bellows and absorbing cushions, in which bellows are arranged on either side of said cushions. This leads to a better standardization, adaptability and design of such an apparatus and in particular in the case of the same angular movement the two bellows are less stressed or greater angular movements are possible.

  • Patent number: 4199128
Abstract: A vibration-absorbing mount with hydraulic damping, especially for mounting an internal-combustion engine upon a vehicle chassis, comprises a housing subdivided internally by an elastic wall which is connected with the force-transmitting member of the mount and is formed with an orifice enabling fluid to pass between the two chambers. For small pressure differentials, the pressure equalization between the two chambers is effected substantially by transfer of fluid through the orifice while large pressure differentials, representing high frequency oscillations, are damped primarily by deformation of the movable wall.
