  • Publication number: 20040229558
Abstract: A method of replacing the local cooling system of each electronic unit, an unfiltered fan, with one or two, separately filtered, positive pressure cooling systems for all of the units. Being positive pressure, all leaks in the system and the case, will be leaks of filtered air into the dusty computer room instead of dirty air into the equipment case. Further it is cheaper and more effective to use one or two systems rather than 10, or 20, or even 100 separate cooling systems.

  • Publication number: 20040227406
Abstract: This invention is a system for replacing all of the individual AC/DC power converters of the individual electronic units in the computer room or a separate part of it, by a centralized AC/DC power converter. These converters will have redundancy, back up, controls and systems to monitor and warm of failure or predicted failure. This would be both more effective and less expensive as we would not have to provide any of the AC/DC converters at the individual unit level. Thus you will have better, reliability, redundancy, and fault detection and control at a reduced cost.

  • Patent number: 4779777
Abstract: A support bracket particularly adapted to support the housing portion of a standard portable metal detector includes a clip portion which is adapted to be secured to the belt of the individual using the metal detector, and a channel portion which engages the housing. The bracket includes first and second panel portions joined by a reverse bend to receive a belt therebetween and define a belt support clip. A laterally extending third panel extends outwardly from the lower end of the second panel, and a fourth panel extends upwardly from the distal end of the third to define the channel configuration with the second and third panel members. The channel portion is configured to receive and engage the bottom and sides of the housing portion of a metal detector. A releasable strap extends between the upper edges of the second and fourth panel members to retain the housing in the channel portion.

  • Patent number: 4050179
Abstract: An integrated rod butt with rod handle and reel seat is constructed to be interchangeable with various tips by means of a ferrule for mounting the tips to the rod butt. The ferrule includes a locator cooperating with a rod butt locator for precise alignment, and provides gasket sealing of the ferrule to the rod butt. The sealing permits the use of the same lightweight aircraft alloy to be used for all components, including rod butt and ferrule.
