  • Publication number: 20090121197
Abstract: The invention relates to a sintered material which is based on transition metal diborides and comprises a) as main phase, 90-99% by weight of a fine-grained transition metal diboride or transition metal diboride mixed crystal comprising at least two transition metal diborides or mixtures of such diboride mixed crystals or mixtures of such diboride mixed crystals with one or more transition metal diborides, where the transition metals are selected from sub-groups IV to VI of the Periodic Table, b) as second phase, 1-5% by weight of particulate boron carbide and/or silicon carbide and c) optionally as third phase, up to 5% by weight of a non-continuous, oxygen-containing grain boundary phase.

  • Publication number: 20090105062
Abstract: The invention relates to a sintered wear-resistant material which is based on transition metal diborides and comprises a) as main phase, 80-98.8% by weight of a fine-grained transition metal diboride or transition metal diboride mixed crystal comprising at least two transition metal diborides or mixtures of such diboride mixed crystals or mixtures of such diboride mixed crystals with one or more transition metal diborides, where the transition metals are selected from sub-groups IV to VI of the Periodic Table, b) as second phase, 0.2 to 5% by weight of a continuous, oxygen-containing grain boundary phase and c) as third phase, 1-15% by weight of particulate boron carbide and/or silicon carbide.

  • Patent number: 6776661
Abstract: A planar filter has a monolithic construction in order to suppress parasitic capacitances between signal electrodes and many signal pins which are led through a carrier and which each have a capacitor with a signal layer connected to the signal pin, a ground layer connected to ground and a dielectric layer separating the two layers. The electrodes of the capacitors are applied to the carrier, which forms the dielectric, is shaped as a block from a mass of a higher dielectric constant and, after shaping and perforation, is sintered and ground. The ground electrode covers the entire surface area of one of the side surfaces of the carrier, apart from pin lead-throughs of the signal pins and their surrounding area. The signal electrodes on the other side surface of the carrier form insular regions extending from the pin lead-throughs of the signal pins to the edge of the carrier.

  • Patent number: 6437664
Abstract: A multiple filter for a plug connector has at least one capacitor with a signal electrode and a ground electrode connected to the associated signal and ground line, respectively, such that it can be produced using not only discrete components but also using thick-film or thin-film technology, and such that it can also be used in the frequency range above 10 GHz. A block of capacitor columns is provided, which are combined in the block or are provided free-standing on a block base. The block insulating material is formed by the capacitor dielectric with a dielectric constant of 103 to 104. Each capacitor column contains a capacitor which is formed by a signal conductor and a ground conductor. The signal electrode is formed either by the signal conductor itself or by layers connected thereto. The ground electrode is formed on the outer wall of the capacitor column and at least partially covers it.

  • Patent number: 6396678
Abstract: A capacitor having a signal electrode connected to a signal conductor, a ground electrode connected to a ground conductor and a dielectric disposed between the two. In the capacitor, delay-time-dependent limits are moved to higher frequency ranges in order to extend the applicability in the frequency range. This is accomplished by the signal conductor or the ground conductor being spaced apart from the signal electrode or the ground electrode and thus from the dielectric having a high dielectric constant. The signal conductor or the ground conduct is subdivided into at least two conductor regions that are separated in the direction of signal propagation. Each of the conductor regions is electrically connected via at least one conductor connector to the signal conductor or to the ground conductor, respectively.
