Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for access control via a mobile device are described herein. One method includes receiving location information associated with a mobile device in a facility, determining that the mobile device is within a particular distance of an area of the facility based on the location information, determining whether a user of the mobile device is allowed access to the area, and allowing access to the area via a relay associated with the area responsive to a determination that the user is allowed access.

  • Publication number: 20200145271
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for transmit diversity in an uplink control channel. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may perform a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) precoding operation on a data symbol sequence segment to generate a DFT precoded segment. The WTRU may then perform a Space Frequency Block Coding (SFBC) operation on the DFT precoded segment to generate a SFBC processed segment. The data symbols of the DFT precoded segment may be reordered in the SFBC processed segment. The WTRU may map the DFT precoded segment to a first set of contiguous subcarriers and the SFBC processed segment to a second set of contiguous subcarriers. The WTRU may then transmit a first DFT spread Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM) signal on the first set of contiguous subcarriers via a first antenna port and a second DFT-s-OFDM signal on the second set of contiguous subcarriers via a second antenna port.

  • Publication number: 20200143286
Abstract: Described herein are embodiments of systems and a method for affective response-based user authentication. In one embodiment, a computer receives a model that was trained with data that includes: (i) temporal windows of token instances (TWOTIs) to which the user was exposed, and (ii) affective responses of the user to the TWOTIs. The computer also receives a temporal window of token instances (TWOTI) and an affective response of the user to being exposed to the TWOTI (e.g., as measured by a sensor, such as a heart rate sensor). The computer utilizes the model to calculate a predicted affective response of the user to exposure to the TWOTI, and then calculates a similarity between the affective response and the predicted affective response. The computer sends a notification indicative of the user having an affective response that is incompatible with the model, responsive to the similarity being below a threshold.

  • Publication number: 20200138485
Abstract: An improved sacroiliac (SI) joint implant device that comprises a compression screw and an additively manufactured bone matrix that promotes osteointegration between the device and a patient's bone. Specifically, the SI joint implant device will compress the patient's SI joint with the differential between the thread pitch of a distal portion of the device and a proximal portion of the device. As the SI joint implant device is advanced across the patient's SI joint, the smaller pitch on the proximal threads will compress the joint with every turn of the screw. The center section of the SI joint implant will also be sheathed in the additively manufactured bone matrix sleeve that has both the porosity and the structure to promote boney ingrowth.
