  • Patent number: 6773934
Abstract: A method for releasable contact-connection of a plurality of integrated semiconductor modules on a wafer, each of which having a plurality of interconnected supply voltage terminals, includes the steps of providing a contacting card for applying external electrical signals to the semiconductor modules with contact elements for releasable electrical connection to terminal pads of the semiconductor modules, aligning the contacting card with the wafer, producing a releasable contact between terminal pads of the plurality of semiconductor modules and the contact elements of the contacting card, checking the contact quality for each of the semiconductor modules by applying a voltage to at least one of the supply voltage terminals of the semiconductor module through the contacting card, measuring the voltage present at a further one of the supply voltage terminals through the contacting card, and using the measurement result to assess whether or not the semiconductor module has correct contact.

  • Patent number: 6693447
Abstract: A configuration for identifying contact faults during the testing of integrated circuits with a multiplicity of pins which protrude from a housing and are connected to respective pads on a semiconductor body of the integrated circuit. Pull-up or pull-down devices are connected between respective pads and input buffers and in each case hold the pads at a high or low potential by impressing a holding current, if contact has not been made with a pin associated with the pad during testing, the result being that activation of the circuit section connected to the pin is avoided.

  • Patent number: 5262944
Abstract: A centralized patient monitoring system includes a central station which receives patient information from bedside monitors. The patient information is presented on a video display screen and may include patient demographic information, physiological parameters and a waveform. The display screen is divided into sectors, with each sector containing information for one patient. When an alarm condition occurs at one of the bedside monitors, the alarm condition is transmitted to the central station and is displayed in the corresponding sector of the video display screen. In addition, the alarm condition is highlighted by changing the background in the alarming sector from its normal color, typically black, to a neutral color such as blue, which is easily distinguishable from the normal color and which does not obscure the patient information being displayed. The background of the sector is changed back to the normal color when the alarm is acknowledged by a user.

  • Patent number: 4262516
Abstract: A pierced metal blank having an annular cross-section with one end closed and the other end open for use in the manufacture of seamless tubes has a bore with portions of different diameters, the portion of larger diameter, which is adjacent the open end of the blank has a wall thickness which is less than that of the portion of smaller diameter which is adjacent the closed end of the blank. Preferably there is a conical transition between the two portions of different diameters. The blank is preferably made from a metal billet of square cross-section in a substantially cylindrical piercing mould by piercing the billet within the mould by means of a stepped mandrel which presses the material of the square billet outwards into contact with the cylindrical wall of the mould.
