  • Publication number: 20140260346
Abstract: A cryopreservation device (100) which is arranged for cryopreservation of a biological sample (1) comprises a pressure vessel (10) with a vessel wall (11) and an internal space (12) which is arranged to receive the biological sample (1), wherein the pressure vessel (10) is equipped with an actuating device (20) for cooling by lowering the temperature and raising the pressure in the pressure vessel (10) and configured for the cryopreservation of the biological sample (1). Said actuating device (20) is connected to the vessel wall (11) and comprises at least one pressure setting element (21-23, 31) and at least one of at least one cooling element (34) and at least one heat conducting element (35-38), wherein the actuating device (20) is configured for a time-dependent and/or location-dependent setting of the temperature and of the pressure in the pressure vessel (10).

  • Patent number: 6321708
Abstract: Inlet manifolds such as intake manifolds, collector tanks, intake pipes, oscillatory intake passages, systems with variable-tract intake manifolds etc., for internal combustion engines operating on the principle of the diesel or Otto engine, where the inlet manifold includes two or more dish-shaped parts that are permanently joined to each other, and the dish-shaped parts are formed sheet parts, castings and/or extruded sections of metal. The permanent joining of the dish-shaped parts may be effected e.g. by adhesive bonding and/or welding.

  • Patent number: 5868023
Abstract: Hollow bodies such as construction elements for vehicle manufacture can be produced by forming a preform in the form of a longitudinal body or sheets of aluminum or its alloys by means of a high internal pressure process or by superplastic forming in a tool. In this process the preform is heat treated locally before forming, on places of high elongation during the forming process and/or the tool for the forming process is equipped with local surface characteristics of different friction such as roughness patterns or with smoothed surfaces.

  • Patent number: 5692798
Abstract: A vehicle frame for powered vehicles with load-bearing sections and on these at least one housing for the upper end of a shock absorber; the housing is made of an extruded alloy, features a cover which is dished upwards, and is made up of a plurality of extruded shaped parts, each of which features shell-shaped sections which are curved in cross-section; projecting from the shell-shaped sections are at least two flange strips which serve as means for attachment to the neighbouring shaped part. The shaped part comprises shell-shaped sections each of which in cross-section is part of a circle and at the ends feature--as viewed in cross-section--flange strips running approximately radial to the central axis (B) of the housing.

  • Patent number: 4609408
Abstract: A process for manufacturing thin strip or foil of aluminum of at least 99.9% purity is such that, after casting, the cast material is rolled to final thickness at temperatures between 20.degree. and 420.degree. C., whereby at thicknesses below at least 8 times the final thickness no intermediate anneals are performed and rolling is carried out at temperatures no higher than 250.degree. C. After a recrystallizing final anneal at temperatures between 480.degree. and 640.degree. C. the material exhibits mainly cube texture.

  • Patent number: 4483719
Abstract: A process for the preparation of a rolled aluminum product, containing iron as the predominant alloy element, which has a grain size of less than 10 .mu.m after annealing to at least 250.degree. C., in which an alloy consisting of 0.8 to 1.5% iron, up to 0.5% by weight of each of Si and Mn, the sum of Si and Mn being between 0.2 and 0.8%, up to 0.3% by weight of any other component, the total of other components being no more than 0.8% by weight, and the remainder being aluminum, is casted at a solidification rate of 2.5 to 25 cm/min, the hot plate is cooled to less than 120.degree. C. at a rate of less than 0.5 K/sec and is then cold rolled with a thickness decrease of at least 75% without intermediate annealing, and the final annealing temperature does not exceed 380.degree. C.
