Abstract: A sterile container unit for receiving items which are sterilized or are to be sterilized includes a container tray and a container lid that can be coupled to the container tray by a closure element. The closure element can be actuated by a pivoting movement. An information carrier can be interlockingly fastened to the container tray and set up to display information regarding the content of the sterile container unit. The container tray, the closure element and the information carrier are adapted to one another such that, following the pivoting movement of the closure element, the information carrier is rigidly fixed/locked on the container tray.

Abstract: A strainer dish for receiving medical items to be disinfected or sterilized includes a receiving container and at least one handle, which, in a removal position projects out of the receiving container in a grippable manner in order to allow the carrying of the strainer dish, and which, in a locking position, is arranged inside the receiving container to allow the loading of the strainer dish, the handle being shifted from the locking position into the removal position by actuation of a releasable holding element.

Abstract: A labelling system includes a labelling plate being adapted to be removably connected with a sterile container, wherein the labelling plate includes interfaces for at least one label (e.g. barcode) and at least one identification tag (e.g. RFID). The interfaces can removably hold the at least one identification tag and/or the at least one label at the separate labelling plate.

The apparatus includes a feed device for moving the pasty material along a conveyor path, a portioning device connected downstream of the feed device for shaping the pasty material into balls, and a transport device for discharging the balls produced by means of the portioning device. The portioning device has an outlet opening having a plurality of outlets for the balls to be shaped, arranged in mutually juxtaposed relationship so that the delivered products touch each other or are arranged in closely mutually juxtaposed relationship, and the portioning device and the transport device are so arranged relative to each other that regions of the transport device in the transport direction provide an abutment function for the balls which are to be oriented in mutually juxtaposed relationship in a row substantially transversely relative to the transport direction.

Abstract: A sausage casing gripping apparatus for use with gathered concertinaed sausage casings and a sausage filling machine. The apparatus includes two gripping elements which are movable relative to each other and which grip the concertinaed sausage casing by a reduction in the intermediate space between the gripping elements and which release the concertinaed sausage casing by an expansion of the intermediate space. The apparatus further includes a drive device for moving at least one of the gripping elements, and at least one lever element for coupling the drive device to at least one gripping element where the gripping element is mounted movably on the lever element.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for allocating packaging material, in particular paper, to apportioned foods, having these steps: delivery of portions of a food onto a first conveyor belt, delivery and allocation of packaging material to the portions, characterized in that the packaging material is fed to the first conveyor belt and allocated to the portions without first being cut, and that the packaging material is then cut between two portions. The invention also relates to a corresponding device.

Abstract: Described are methods of treating allergic disorders and compositions for use therein. The methods comprise administering an allergen and one or more medicaments. These medicaments are compounds that inhibit the transcription of genes involved in the initiation of innate and specific immunity, thereby promoting the development of tolerance to these allergens, through inhibition of the NF-?B and/or the MAPK/AP-1 signal transduction pathway(s). In another embodiment, the use of DNA vaccines is disclosed that incorporates a gene encoding one or more allergen sequences or fragments thereof, in combination with genes encoding proteins that inhibit the activation of the NF-?B and/or the MAPK/AP-1 pathway or in combination with small interfering RNA sequences or anti-sense sequences that inhibit the expression of NP-?B and/or AP-1 proteins.

The meat tray, the absorbent/separating layer, and the piece of meat placed on the absorbent/separating layer are to be wrapped by a fresh-keeping foil such that a common closed envelope is formed of the fresh-keeping foil. The combination as a zone introduced into a space to be enclosed by the fresh-keeping foil, wherein the zone contains a purely plant-based preservative of crushed spice material having microbially active volatile components employed in a chemically unchanged form.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for use in determining the components of an inputted gas mixture. The apparatus includes a single piece body or framework preferably made of a high insulating material, such as ceramic. The body includes a number of cut-outs for receiving or incorporating hardware used in generating ions, controlling their movement, and directing them to an ion collector plate. One of the cut-outs formed in the insulating body receives an ion source assembly. Another of the cutouts is a passageway with metallized material coated along the walls thereof for use in generating an electric field. A third cut-out receives and is associated with a magnet assembly used in directing ion movement towards the collector plate. The single body and cut-out construction reduces the number of individual parts, improves the assembly of such parts and reduces adjustment time associated with such parts.
