  • Patent number: 8072728
Abstract: An overvoltage protection device for protection of an electrical or electronic device, with a housing, with input and output terminals for electrical conductors, with line paths which each connect one input terminal to one output terminal, with first arresters which are used for symmetrical protection between the active conductors and with second arresters which are used for asymmetrical protection between the individual conductors and the ground potential, the individual first arresters each being connected by their first terminal to a line path and by their second terminal to a common connecting point so that they are at a common reference potential and symmetrical protection between two conductors is implemented by two first arresters located in series to one another. The overvoltage protection device can also be used in signal circuits with several signal conductors and can guarantee reliable protection of a connected electrical or electronic device against overvoltages.

  • Patent number: 7995348
Abstract: A surge protector includes a housing with connectors for passing through an electrical lead that is to be protected, whereby a surge voltage discharge device is located inside the housing and a mounting base for placement on a mounting rail is located on the outside of the housing. The mounting base on the housing exhibits a power surge proof discharge contact for contacting the mounting rail with the discharge contact being connected to the discharge connector of the surge protector. An attachment is connected in a removeable fashion to the mounting base which includes a contact component which contacts the discharge contact of the mounting base and is connected in an electrically conducting manner with a lead that exits the attachment.

  • Patent number: 7335029
Abstract: A combination circuit board and clamping device includes a circuit board having a conductor strip that conducts electrical voltage. A connection for a shielded cable with a device to clamp the cable sheath is provided on the circuit board. This device is in contact with the conductor strip carrying the electrical voltage. The clamp device for the cable sheath consists of a contact piece with a metallic base plate and clamp springs that project on one side and are separated from one another, between which the cable insulated up to the cable sheath is received. The circuit board includes pass-through apertures into which to insert these clamp springs, and the contact piece with the cable end secured between contact springs is attached to the circuit board by means of a cable binder, for whose proper positioning the circuit board includes openings.
