Abstract: An assembly is provided that includes a beverage container having a handle extending radially from the container in a direction that defines a handle axis. The assembly further includes a handle grip piece for connection to the handle of the container, and a support bar attached to the handle grip piece. A rotatable object is coupled to the support bar and defines an axis of rotation located in a plane extending at an angle from the handle axis such that the axis of rotation does not intersect the container.

Abstract: A handle grip piece is provided for use with the handle of a mug. The handle grip piece has a first side piece including an inner edge and an arcuate outer surface facing the wall of the mug. The first side piece has an upper recess and a lower recess spaced-apart from the upper recess, and a plurality of protrusions extending from the inner edge. The handle grip piece also has a second side piece including an inner edge and an arcuate outer surface facing the wall of the mug. The second side piece has an upper recess and a lower recess spaced-apart from the upper recess, and a plurality of notches provided along the inner edge. The upper and lower recesses of the first and second side pieces are adapted to receive and connect portions of the handle. The protrusions of the first side piece are adapted to be engaged with the notches of the second side piece to connect the first side piece to the second side piece.

Abstract: A drinking mug includes a mug body having an outer wall, an inner wall and a mouth defined by an upper edge. The mug includes a lid provided integral with the inner wall and substantially covering the mouth, the lid having an outer edge, a first opening and a second opening. The first and second openings are adapted to pass liquid and other substances therethrough, with the first opening provided along the outer edge of the lid for drinking purposes. A third opening is provided along the outer edge of the lid substantially opposite the first opening. A cover is provided for covering the second opening.

Abstract: A drinking mug and multipurpose lid combination comprises a lid comprising a substantially cylindrical side wall having an inner surface, and at least one locking member provided on the inner surface. The combination further comprises a mug comprising a substantially cylindrical body, an annular shoulder at the upper end of the cylindrical body, and a recessed cylindrical wall at the inner edge of the annular shoulder. The mug further comprises at least one retaining bar provided on the outer surface of the recessed cylindrical wall. The inner surface of the cylindrical side wall of the lid is adapted to be positioned adjacent the outer surface of the recessed cylindrical wall of the mug when the lid is used to cover the mouth of the mug. When in this position, the lid is adapted to be rotated in a first direction so that each locking member of the lid is retained below each corresponding retaining bar of the mug to secure the lid to the mug.

Abstract: A mug and lid combination comprises a lid having a cylindrical wall and a plurality of retaining means. Each retaining means comprises two longitudinal slits provided along the cylindrical wall and extending from a bottom edge of the cylindrical wall to a mid-section of the cylindrical wall, the two slits defining a portion of the cylindrical wall therebetween. The retaining means further comprises a protrusion provided on the external surface of the portion of the cylindrical wall between the slits. The combination further comprises a mug comprising a hollow section for holding liquids, and a lip section at the mouth of the mug. The mug further includes a concave ring section connected to the lip section of the mug at a neck, the concave ring section having a central diameter greater than the diameter of the neck. The concave ring section is adapted to receive the protrusions.

Abstract: A safety lid adapted for use with a mug, the mug having a circumferential mouth and an internal surface. The safety lid comprises a disk and a central core attached to the bottom surface of the disk. The central core has a circular side wall. The safety lid further comprises a circular sealing ring having an inner surface attached to the circular side wall of the central core and an outer surface adapted to frictionally engage the internal surface of the mouth of the mug.

Abstract: A coaster and mug assembly comprises a coaster and a mug. The coaster comprises a flat bottom and a resilient and flexible annular side wall formed integrally with the flat bottom and extending radially outwardly at an angle from the flat bottom and terminating at a resilient annular lip, the annular lip extending radially inwardly from the side wall. The mug comprises a bottom and a lower annular side wall extending radially outwardly at an angle from the bottom of the mug and terminating at a bend where it is integrally connected with an annular upper side wall, the annular upper side wall extending radially inwardly at an angle from the bend. The mug is snugly fitted inside the coaster with the annular lip of the coaster resiliently gripping the bend of the mug to hold the coaster securely to the mug. The coaster may be removed from the mug by lifting the resilient annular lip of the coaster and peeling it from the mug.
