  • Publication number: 20130327141
Abstract: A monitoring system for use with electrically operated devices such as portable combustion heaters and having a carbon monoxide sensor, a relative humidity sensor and a supply voltage sensor and controller in a common enclosure mountable on the heater or alternatively in proximity. A user interface provides an indication of the sensor measurements which is readily discernible to persons in proximity to the system. The user interface may provide digital readouts, analog voltage outputs, serial data or logic level outputs. The system provides an alarm or disable the heater in response to one of the sensors measuring a predetermined level of sensed humidity, carbon monoxide or humidity.

  • Publication number: 20130026800
Abstract: A seating device with an integral seat, upright back and front wall forming a hollow bench which defines an interior space. A misting manifold with misting nozzles is supported above the upright back and is connected to a water pump which when activated supplies water to the manifold and provides a cooling mist to the entire body of a person sitting on the bench. A heater provides forced heated air to the interior space of the bench and through holes in the front wall of the bench to the deck of a foot platform for directing air upwardly through holes in the deck for total body warmth in cold weather use.

  • Patent number: 7494235
Abstract: A document illuminator includes first and second cover portions, first and second illumination sources, and a power source. The first and second cover portions are connected and foldable along a spine portion. The first and second illumination sources are secured to a corresponding one of the first and second cover portions. The power source is electrically connected to the first and second illumination sources to selectively power the first and second illumination sources when a power switch is activated. When first and second translucent documents are secured to corresponding ones of the first and second cover portions and power is supplied to the first and second illumination sources, each of the first and second illumination sources direct illumination through a corresponding one of the first and second translucent documents.

  • Patent number: 6863342
Abstract: A seating device having an air conditioning unit fluidly connected to a substantially hollow air diffuser. The air diffuser has a plurality of apertures through which cold air generated by the air conditioning unit is exhausted. The air diffuser serves as a back rest for the seating device. The air diffuser sits in a channel defined by the back surface of the seating member of the seating device, the horizontal support member on an L-shaped support bracket, and the front surface of the vertical braces of the L-shaped support bracket.

  • Patent number: 6776453
Abstract: A seating having a heat source fluidly connected to a substantially hollow bench which defines an interior space, a substantially hollow deck extending outwardly from the footwall of the bench, perforations in the frontal wall of the base to exhaust pressurized heated air from the interior space of the bench into the deck, and perforations in the top surface of the deck to exhaust pressurized heated air from the deck and into the atmosphere. The seating device is additionally equipped with a heating rack comprising a heating element, a duct having a plurality of posts, each post having a terminal support with at least one opening therein. Each terminal support is adapted selectively to support and heat helmets or other equipment. The seating device provides heat to the entire body of a person sitting on its bench or standing on its deck.

The pressurized heated air warms the entire outer surface of the bench and the deck. The pressurized heated air exhausting from the perforations in the top surface of the deck warms the entire region in front of the bench. The seating device provides heat to the entire body of a person sitting on its bench or standing on its deck.
