  • Patent number: 4537256
Abstract: A sonic fracing process and means to enhance production of oil and gas wells, increasing formation permeability by creating sonic waves that cracks and loosens the formation interstices. The sonic waves are created by a series of directed detonations and harmonic pulsations. The explosive material is placed inside the well bore and detonated from the surface. Two methods commonly used to increase formation permeability are known as Acidizing and/or Hydraulic Fracturing. The Sonic Frac has been designed to complement these fracing processes.Three inherent benefits are derived by using the Sonic Frac Process. First, and most important, is that the fine formation fissures are cracked and "opened" to allow flow of oil or gas to migrate from pores that would otherwise not be affected by conventional fracing processes. Second the pressure pulsations, which are created by the expansion of the gas utilized in conjunction with the Sonic cause the fluid in the wall bore to oscillate through the perforated zones.

  • Patent number: 4050854
Abstract: A fluid lifting apparatus operable by air pressure applied alternately to first and second pairs of cylinders each of said cylinders having a main body part, a barrel and a bottom chamber in communications with a bottom inlet. Pressuring of the main body part of the chamber, closes a check valve at the inlet and forces fluid from the main body part, through a fluid flow valve, through the chamber and up the barrel to a production tubing segment and hence to the next higher cylinder. Emptying of the main chamber closes the fluid flow valve to prevent air from the production tubing. However, the valve is positively opened once fluid flow in the bottom chamber from the inlet is reinstituted. Air vent means to the surface and/or to the well annulus rapidly depressurizes the cylinders and hence speeds cycling between the alternate cylinder pairs.

  • Patent number: 3965714
Abstract: A golf club bending machine for adjusting the club head with reference to the shaft, to vary the position of the head to change the loft and lie angles of the club face in accordance with the user's swing. The device is provided with a clamp to hold the club in position while bending the neck of the club to a predetermined angle, and having a hydraulic power bending unit designed to bend the neck of the club in one position to adjust the lie, and movable into another position to bend the neck of the club to adjust the loft to a predetermined angle.
