During the method, the entire single surface of the first material is flush with a plane defined by outer surface of the first portion of the mold. The surface of the substrate is compatible with the molten entrained polymer so as to thermally bond with it. In this way, the entrained polymer bonds to the substrate and solidifies upon sufficient cooling of the entrained polymer.

The rigid housing is configured within the assembly to prevent leaking of the humectant solution into the product compartment while facilitating bidirectional transmission of moisture between the humectant compartment and the product compartment. The humectant solution regulates relative humidity of the product compartment to maintain the relative humidity at a predetermined level.

The cover portion is configured to move between a FIRST position corresponding to the cover portion covering the opening, and a SECOND position corresponding to the cover portion not covering the opening. The directing portion extends from one of the body and the cover portion, and at least partially encloses the protrusion when the cover portion is in the FIRST position. When the cover portion moves from the FIRST position to the SECOND position, the protrusion moves away from the directing portion.

    Abstract: A closed and tamper-evident sealed container, including a fluid transport adapter. The adapter provides for sterile fluid communication between a fluid source outside the container and the container interior when adapter is open. The adapter is adjustable to a closed position wherein the fluid communication ceases. An alternative to the adapter utilizes a sampling attachment that fits into tight engagement with the lid which comprises at least one septum. Coupling the sampling attachment to the lid either causes sharps in the attachment to penetrate the at least one septum or to displace the edges of the septum inward to form a fluid communication with the container interior while the lid remains sealed closed. Other variations include a rotatable sampling attachment, a container with a displaceable bottom wall to act as a syringe and a large volume (e.g., 1500 mL) sealed ampoule which also uses a sampling attachment.
