Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for guiding the blind, visually impaired, and low vision riders to a specific transportation device (mobile landmark) on a transit system. The network for guiding individuals through a transportation system involves at least one transmitter displaced on a transportation vehicle which identifies the specific identity of said transportation device by transmitting an identity signal that is recognized by interface of handheld apparatus.
