    Abstract: A process for the production of a peroxide masterbatch composition comprising the steps of: a) providing a mixture of an ethylene-propylene copolymer and 10-150 parts by weight, based on the weight of the ethylene-propylene copolymer of a polyoctenamer rubber to a mixing device, (b) adjusting the temperature of the mixture to a temperature at least 2.degree. C. below the melting point of the lowest melting peroxide to be included in the masterbatch composition, (c) adding 20-60 percent by weight, based on the weight of the mixture, of a peroxide initiator to the mixture, with mixing, while maintaining the temperature of the mixture at least 2.degree. C.
