  • Patent number: 4639801
Abstract: A magnetic tape cassette apparatus has a holder into which a cassette can be pushed against an ejection slide, to a pushed-in position. A lifting device moves the holder from a position for receiving or ejecting a cassette, to an operating position. As the ejection slide is moved to the pushed-in position, a pivoting catch engages the slide to lock it and hold it during movement of the lifting device to the operating position. Upon reverse movement of the lifting device to a position for ejecting the cassette, a tilting lever engages a lug mounted to the apparatus frame, and pivots so as to pivot said catch and unlock the ejection slide. Ejection slides to each side of the holder may be interconnected by a rack and pinion arrangement having a brake for slowing rotation of the pinion shaft during ejection.

  • Patent number: 4578724
Abstract: A recording and/or reproducing apparatus for a record carrier in the form of a tape contained in a cassette, which comprises at least one reel hub for taking up said record carrier which reel hub is axially accessible from opposite sides, is provided with a cassette holder which is movable between a loading position and an operating position. The cassette holder comprises a carrying member for a reel-hub hold-down means, which member is movable between a rest position and an operating position and for moving the carrying member there is provided at least one actuating member which projects into the path along which the cassette is inserted into the cassette holder.

  • Patent number: 4323936
Abstract: A magnetic tape recording and/or reproducing apparatus suitable for cooperation with a magnetic tape (1) accommodated in a cassette (10) is provided with a tape guide device (18) which comprises two substantially cylindrical tape guides (19, 20) each mounted on one of two movable supports (21, 22) for withdrawing a portion of the tube from the cassette and wrapping it around a tape guide drum (2). For moving the two supports there is provided a wire drive arrangement (38) which comprises two alternately rotatable wire drums (39, 40) and three wires (41, 42, 43), the first wire (41) passing from the first write drum (39) to the first support (21), the second wire (42) passing from the first support to the second support (22) and the third wire (43) passing from the second support to the second wire drum (40).

  • Patent number: 4322761
Abstract: A helical scan cassette tape recorder including tape guide means for pulling part of the tape out of the cassette and laying it on a surface of the recorder drum. The guide means includes a curved guide rail and a support which moves on the rail along a curved path defined by the rail and carries a tape guide element which engages the tape during threading and operation. Grooves in the rail may cause the support to tilt during its longitudinal movement on the rail.

  • Patent number: 4235395
Abstract: A magnetic tape cassette of the "flip-over" type having side-by-side reels in a housing between two parallel main walls, an exposed run of tape along a front of the cassette housing, and a pivoting cover for the exposed run of tape. A single cassette cover covers the entire front of the housing, and has a pivoting arm at each side which is journalled to the cassette housing sidewalls such that the cover can be opened from its closed position in either direction to two different open positions, by pivoting toward the one or toward the other main wall of the housing. A movable slide may also cover openings which provide access behind the stretch of tape.
