Abstract: In a convertible vehicle (1) with a roof (3) that can be folded down under a cover part (6) in a rear vehicle area (2), whereby the cover part (6) can alternatively be opened to release (8) a loading opening for luggage or to release (7) a passage opening for the roof (3) and for this reason is held by at least one movement mechanic (9) in the vehicle (1), the movement mechanic (9) comprises at least one multi-link chain (11) with, in each case, an excess number of links (16; 17; 28; 30; 32) for the movement of the cover part (6) in the release direction (8) of the loading opening for luggage or in the release direction (7) of the passage opening for the roof (3), whereby during each of the named movements at least one link (17; 28) is blocked.

Abstract: A roof structure (20) for a vehicle (10) comprises a rear roof part (24), which comprises a vehicle rear window (26), side, rear pillars (27) and a rear segment (25) of the vehicle roof and is displaceably borne in the vehicle longitudinal direction (B). In addition, a forward roof part (22) is provided that is attachable adjacent to a windshield frame (11) of the vehicle and is removable from the roof structure (20); its length in the vehicle longitudinal direction corresponds to the displacement path of the rear roof part (24). Lastly, the roof structure (20) comprises rear, side elements (28), which are attachable adjacent to the rear roof part (24) and are removable from the roof structure (20); their length in the vehicle longitudinal direction corresponds to the displacement path of the rear roof part.

Abstract: A vehicle roof structure (10), which has at least one rear-side convertible top compartment lid (16) and a rigid roof part (12) movable between an opened- and a closed position, which roof part (12) extends in the closed position between a windshield frame (14) of the vehicle and the convertible top compartment lid (16) and in the opened position is stored in a space underneath the convertible top compartment lid (16), is movable between the closed position and the opened position by a linkage mechanism (36) and at least one guide device (40, 42, 44) is additionally provided, with which the roof part (12) is in contact at least at one portion of its movement path between the opened- and closed position and which effects a directional change of the movement path of the roof part (12) when it arrives in contact with the roof part.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a roll-over protection device for a motor vehicle, particularly for a convertible, comprising a roll bar (2). This roll bar is provided with an at least nearly U-shaped design having a transverse yoke (3) and lateral limbs (4A, 4B) while leaving a loading opening (11) unobstructed, and extending such that it essentially spans the width of the vehicle. The lateral limbs (4A, 4B) can be displaced along fixed guiding devices (6, 7) in order to transfer the roll bar (2) out of a lowered non-operational position and into a raised supporting position. To this end, a central retaining and activating device (12) for the roll bar (2), said device being controlled by an actuator (18), is provided and/or a device (17) that synchronizes the displacement of the limbs (4A, 4B) of the roll bar (2) along the guiding devices (6, 7) is provided.
