  • Patent number: 11834025
Abstract: A device for a hydraulic braking system of a vehicle. The device includes a processing unit, which is programmed to determine at least one brake characteristic value of the hydraulic braking system, the processing unit being programmed to determine the at least one brake characteristic value as a vehicle axle-specific brake characteristic value, which in each case corresponds to a ratio between a brake pressure in all wheel brake cylinders assigned to a shared vehicle axle of the vehicle and a vehicle axle braking torque exerted on the shared vehicle axle with the aid of the wheel brake cylinders. A method for determining at least one brake characteristic value of a hydraulic braking system of a vehicle, and a method for decelerating a vehicle with a hydraulic braking system and an electric motor usable as a generator, are also described.

  • Patent number: 11772617
Abstract: A method for operating a motor vehicle including an actuating element which is, in particular steplessly, displaceable between a first end position and a second end position. An instantaneous position of the actuating element is monitored. A deceleration torque being predefined for the motor vehicle when the instantaneous position is in a deceleration range situated between the first end position and a predefinable change position, and an acceleration torque being predefined for the motor vehicle when the instantaneous position is in an acceleration range situated between the second end position and the change position. A monitoring is carried out for the occurrence of at least one disturbance variable which influences an actual deceleration of the motor vehicle effectuated by the deceleration torque, the deceleration torque being changed as a function of a detected disturbance variable.

  • Publication number: 20230202443
Abstract: A method for operating a motor vehicle. The motor vehicle includes a first actuating element, an actuatable second actuating element, and a braking system including an activatable braking force generator and a master brake cylinder, at least one hydraulic piston displaceably mounted in the master brake cylinder and is steplessly displaceable between first and second end positions. A first deceleration value is predefined for the motor vehicle when the instantaneous position of the piston falls short of a change position between the first and second ends. The braking force generator, when the first deceleration value is predefined, is activated in such a way that the hydraulic piston is displaced as a function of a level of the first deceleration value. The first deceleration value is decreased upon detection of the actuation of the second actuating element by the driver.

  • Patent number: 11400901
Abstract: A method for operating a vehicle, the vehicle including at least one friction brake unit, including a brake body and at least one brake element, the brake body being rotatably fixedly connected to a wheel of the vehicle and the brake element being situated on the chassis side and being displaceable in the direction of the brake body. The brake element is pressed against the brake body for generating a friction braking action, and an actual vehicle parameter resulting from the friction brake action being monitored for vibrations with the aid of at least one sensor unit. When detecting a vibration, the frequency of the vibrations is compared with the rotational speed of the wheel, and at least one safety measure is carried out in a third step if the comparison indicates that the frequency is equal to or greater than the rotational speed of the wheel.

  • Publication number: 20210354693
Abstract: A method for operating a motor vehicle, which includes a drive system, including an electric drive machine, a friction braking system and an actuating element. The actuating element is continuously movable between a first end state and a second end state, a position of the actuating element in the first end state corresponding to a percentage value of 0%, and the position of the actuating element in the second end state corresponding to a percentage value of 100%. An acceleration torque for the motor vehicle is predefined if the positon has a percentage value that is greater than a predefined threshold value, and a deceleration torque for the motor vehicle being predefined if the position has a percentage value that is less than the threshold value. The friction braking system is activated in such a way that the friction braking system generates at least partially the predefined deceleration torque.
