  • Patent number: 5525589
Abstract: The present invention is concerned with novel odorant compositions which are characterized by a content of cyclic compounds of the formula ##STR1## From this group of compounds the compounds I' with the meanings b), d), f) and g) are novel compounds.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 18, 1994
Date of Patent: June 11, 1996
    Assignee: Givaudan-Roure Corporation
    Inventors: Franz Etzweiler, Daniel Helmlinger
  • Patent number: 5214160
Abstract: The invention concerns novel odorants of formula I wherein R is hydrogen or methyl. ##STR1## The invention also concerns fragrance compositions containing I. Formula I is intended to particularly embrace as the racemates, (.+-.)-3.alpha.-acetyl-3.beta.,4.beta.,5,5-tetramethyl-2,3,4,4a.beta.,5,6, 7,8-octahydronapthalene and (.+-.)-3.alpha.-acetyl-4.beta.,5,5,-trimethyl-2,3.beta.,4,4a.beta.,5,6,7,8 -octahydronapthalene.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 25, 1992
Date of Patent: May 25, 1993

  • Patent number: 5198155
Abstract: For admixing a gaseous substance, especially an odoriferous substance, into a gas stream. The gaseous substance is fed by means of a carrier gas (23) via a line (10) to a mixing chamber (1). The line contains at least one capillary (19), which is arranged in an advancing device (9) with two defined positions. In a first position the capillary extends through an opening (6), into the mixing chamber. In a second position the capillary opens outside of the mixing chamber in a suction removal space (25) surrounding the mixing chamber. Preferably the carrier gas is flowing continuously and suction removal means (26) are provided which remove the carrier gas together with the gaseous substance when the capillary opens in the suction removal space.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 17, 1991
Date of Patent: March 30, 1993
    Assignee: Givaudan Corporation
