  • Patent number: 9887771
Abstract: A bandwidth throttling method is provided. The method includes receiving by a receiver from a QD Vcel cannon, a plurality of multi-frequency light pulses via a plurality of channels. The receiver determines that the plurality of multi-frequency light pulses comprises an out of band (OOB) signal transmitted over a first channel of the plurality of channels. The receiver receives from a first laser device of the QD Vcel cannon, a first light pulse of the plurality of multi-frequency light pulses. The first light pulse includes a first frequency for testing a visibility of the first light pulse at the receiver. The receiver determines if the first light pulse is visible at the receiver.

  • Patent number: 9853741
Abstract: A fiber optic encryption method is provided. The method includes transmitting an initial security key to a laser receiver apparatus over an out of band (OOB) signaling channel of a plurality of channels of a laser transmitter apparatus. The OOB signaling channel is secured based on the initial security key resulting in a secure OOB signaling channel. A secure bundle is generated. The secure bundle includes the secure OOB signaling channel and a group of channels and associated transmission frequencies. Data is transmitted via the secure bundle and it is determined if any channels do not transmit the data.

  • Publication number: 20170331583
Abstract: A fiber optic light intensity encryption method is provided. The method includes determining light intensities associated with multi-frequency light pulses emitted by a laser transmitter apparatus in response to an encryptions process. An encryption type for application of an encryption algorithm to each light intensity is determined and a first light intensity associated with a first light pulse is selected. Data indicating results of the random selection is transmitted to the laser transmitter apparatus and an initial security key is transmitted over a signaling channel of the laser transmitter apparatus. The signaling channel is secured based on the initial security key resulting in a secure signaling channel. In response, a secure bundle comprising said the secure signaling channel and an additional group of channels is generated and the data is transmitted via the secure bundle.

  • Patent number: 9805595
Abstract: Traffic flow control. A method identifies traffic in an area. The traffic includes traffic objects. The identifying obtains identifiers of traffic objects in the area. Each traffic object is identified by a respective identifier of the traffic object identifiers. The method also dynamically assigns weights to the traffic objects based on pre-established traffic criteria. Each traffic object is assigned a respective weight of the dynamically assigned weights. The pre-established traffic criteria each include at least one weight value. The weight assigned to a traffic object is based on the weight values of a set of traffic criteria, of the pre-established traffic criteria, applicable to the traffic object and reflects a level of prioritization of a right-of-way of the traffic object. The method also controls flow of the traffic in the area. The controlling the flow includes controlling at least one traffic control signal based on the dynamically assigned weights.

  • Publication number: 20170305419
Abstract: Method of collision avoidance which includes: sensing parameters by a first vehicle with respect to its movement in a first direction; sensing a second vehicle having a movement in the first direction and separated from the first vehicle by a spaced distance; sensing parameters with respect to the movement of the second vehicle; responsive to sensing by the first vehicle of an imminent need to stop the first vehicle to avoid a collision with the second vehicle, calculating a braking distance between the first vehicle and the second vehicle; determining that the braking distance is greater than the spaced distance; communicating by the first vehicle with the second vehicle; querying the second vehicle as to if the second vehicle can take a corrective action to avoid a collision with the first vehicle; and braking the first vehicle independent of any corrective action taken by the second vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20170221067
Abstract: Computing systems, methods and tools for performing a secure electronic transaction between buyer and merchant. The transaction being able to be implemented without either party having to transmit confidential information between the parties of the transaction. The secure electronic transaction is mediated by a transaction system operating as part of a remotely accessible network or cloud computing environment. The buyer and the merchant register identifying information, payment information, shipping/billing information along with other confidential information to be stored by the transaction system prior to commencing the transaction. The buyer and merchant use assigned ID numbers or truncated versions thereof when transmitting transactional data and transactional approvals through the transaction system.
