Patent number: 7899035Abstract: There is described a communication structure for at least two solar inverters, having a transmission medium by means of which each of the at least two solar inverters is connected to a communication network with a first group of the solar inverters each being connected via an LAN interface to the communication network, and with a further group of the solar inverters being connected to the first group via serial interfaces. Two different network types are therefore provided with the first being suitable for standard LAN technologies with rapid data transmission over short distances, and with the second being suitable for interference-insensitive data transmission over long distances.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2006Date of Patent: March 1, 2011Assignee: Siemens AG ÖsterreichInventors: Mats Eklund, Franz Hackl, Franz Reithmayer, Walter Strobl

Patent number: 7583047Abstract: There is described a method for controlling a quenching device for a converter bridge with line regeneration, whereby the converter bridge controlled by a network-timed control circuit by ignition pulses is connected with its three inputs to the phases of a three-phase network and the two outputs of the bridge are connected to a direct-current motor which feeds, when operated as a generator, current back to the three-phase network via the bridge. The quenching device is controlled by a trigger unit which emits trigger pulses depending on the monitoring of electrical and temporary variables. The quenching device comprises, for each bridge half, a quenching condenser that can be charged by a charging circuit quenching voltage. The quenching condensers, in the event of quenching, can be connected to the bridge halves by means of switches that are controlled by the trigger unit.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 2005Date of Patent: September 1, 2009Assignee: Siemens AG OsterreichInventors: Thomas Biribauer, Franz Hackl, Wilfried Hofmüller, Heinz Pichorner, Wilhelm Ritschel, Franz Wöhrer

The quenching device is controlled by a trigger unit which emits trigger pulses depending on the monitoring of electrical and temporary variables. The device has measuring values “direct output current” and/or “supply voltages” used to determine characteristic values which are compared with theoretical characteristic values. Depending on the result of said comparison, the quenching device is optionally activated.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 2005Date of Patent: October 28, 2008Assignee: Siemens ÖsterreichInventors: Thomas Biribauer, Franz Hackl, Wilfried Hofmüller, Heinz Pichorner, Wilhelm Ritschel, Franz Wöhrer

Patent number: 6370682Abstract: Re-use and platform independence of application software is achieved by using component types comprising an interface and a body. This is followed by automatically generating components based on the developed component types. The development process steps are preceded by an adaptation process step, during which the functionality of all component types is defined for all the platforms.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 1999Date of Patent: April 9, 2002Assignee: Siemens AtkiengesellschaftInventors: Dieter Eckardt, Gerald Amler, Hans-Christian Doht, Hartmut Schorrig, Franz Hackl, Reinhold Kugler, Klaus-Dieter Renner, Manfred Mueller

Patent number: 5847300Abstract: The mouthpiece assembly includes an internal thread which engages an external thread of a leadpipe of a brass musical instrument. The internal thread can be placed on the stem of the mouthpiece or on an extension to the leadpipe into which the stem frictionally engages. In either case, the radial gap between the mouthpiece and the leadpipe is substantially eliminated. Additionally, the diameter of the air passageway can be configured to be substantially free of discontinuities. The various pieces of the mouthpiece assembly can be interchanged to vary some characteristics of the mouthpiece while keeping other characteristics constant.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 1997Date of Patent: December 8, 1998Inventor: Franz Hackl

Patent number: 4845413Abstract: A device for controlling the field current of a DC motor supplied from an AC network and which is operated beyond the normal speed of the DC motor in the higher speed range obtainable by weakening of the field of the DC motor, there being provided for the apportioning of the field current of the DC motor a phase angle control circuit which is operated depending on a control variable obtained from the respective measured speed of the DC motor by a function-forming device as a function of the speed, the function-forming device comprising a function memory which contains values of the control variable correlated to individual speed values stored in a matrix in tabulated form, the correlation of these values individually corresponding to the DC motor being established when the DC motor starts up for the first time, and where a constant dependence of the control variable on the speed is established either by a polygonal line obtained by linear interpolation from the value pairs stored in tabulated form or by a curType: GrantFiled: March 2, 1988Date of Patent: July 4, 1989Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Franz Hackl, Wolfgang Spitaler, Franz Wohrer

Patent number: 4810955Abstract: For controlling d-c motors which are supplied with an armature current obtained by phase gating, the bucking voltage induced in the motor is particularly well suited. This voltage is calculated indirectly by a measuring unit which calculates the instantaneous bucking voltage of the d-c machine as a function of the phase gating angle calculated in the preceding computing cycle, the measured current conduction angle, the measured magnitude of the line voltage, the mean armature current value and the armature circuit resistance specific to the machine and the armature circuit inductance specific to the machine.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 1987Date of Patent: March 7, 1989Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Franz Hackl, Franz Wohrer
