  • Patent number: 11836104
Abstract: A bus arrangement includes a coordinator, a first subscriber having a first optical display, a second subscriber having a second optical display, a third subscriber having a third optical display, and a bus that couples the coordinator to the first, second, and third subscribers. In a standard operating phase, the first subscriber is configured to display first local information of the first subscriber on the first optical display, the second subscriber is configured to display second local information of the second subscriber on the second optical display, and the third subscriber is configured to display third local information of the third subscriber on the third optical display. The coordinator is configured to switch from a standard operating phase to a display operating phase based on detecting a fault in the first subscriber.

  • Patent number: 11146336
Abstract: A media converter has an electrical bus port for connecting a first electrical bus; and an optical bus port for connecting an optical bus. The media converter is configured to convert an electrical signal of the first electrical bus into an optical signal of the optical bus in such a way that, at a first value of an internal control signal of the media converter, the optical signal corresponds to the electrical signal and, at a second value of the internal control signal, the optical signal has an inverted shape corresponding to the electrical signal. In a transmission phase during which the internal control signal changes from the first value to the second value, the media converter is configured to emit the optical signal in such a way that the optical signal corresponds to the electrical signal until the end of the transmission phase.

  • Patent number: 11124325
Abstract: A packaging machine packages items using film. The packaging machine includes: a film transporter for feeding film; and a cutting device for cutting film. The cutting device is transferrable by a driving force from a rest position into an extended position. The film is severable by the cutting device in the extended position. The cutting device is connected to a housing surrounding the cutting device via a return mechanism. The return mechanism is activatable upon the cutting device being transferred from the rest position into the extended position. A return force in a direction of the rest position is exertable by the return mechanism in the activated state on the cutting device in its extended position, the force being greater than a return resistance of the cutting device in its extended state by which the cutting device is held in the extended state without action of the driving force.
