Abstract: A process for a common deflection of at least two light beams having different wavelengths, wherein the deflection is carried out by means of an acousto-optical crystal, is characterized in that color-dependent beam dividers and deflection units are inserted in the beam path of the, at least two, light beams of different colors in such a way that deflection angles are compensated by properly adjusted longer beam paths, so that all beams coincide at a predetermined distance from the deflecting crystal.

Abstract: In an improved embodiment, film cassettes comprising a substantially cylindrical casing, a film mouth of an upper lip and lower lip extending over the width of the casing, a film spool and end caps, the upper lip and lower lip of the film mouth being provided with sealing strips, contain the sealing strips for the lower lip bonded to the metal in such a way that the edge zones of the sealing strip on the narrow sides and the edge zones of the sealing strip on the longitudinal side are completely bonded to the metal on the lower lip while the edge zone of the sealing strip on the longitudinal side is completely or partly bonded to the metal inside the cassette and all or part of the inner region of the surface of the sealing strip is not bonded to the metal, so that 10 to 60% of the total surface area of the sealing strip is not bonded to the metal strip.

Abstract: A spool for strip-form recording substrates, in particular for photographic films, with a slit arranged in the spool core and means arranged therein for fixing the strip end inserted into the slit, and with transitional surfaces which are rounded in the approximate shape of a cylinder surface on the inlet side between the axially running upper and lower slit surfaces and the external surfaces of the spool core, which are arranged in kink-free manner between the adjacent surfaces of the spool core and each form an arc portion of more than 90.degree. in cross section, the radius thereof being at least one third of the radius of the spool core.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process and to an apparatus for carrying out the process for degassing of liquids at reduced pressure using a centrifugal force to produce a thin layer of liquid using a conical rotary body the interior of which is maintained at a reduced pressure and in which the liquid is conducted through a hollow shaft and is sprayed by means of a distributor to the conically widening internal surface of the rotary body into a thin film of liquid to be degassed and to flow to an annular collecting chamber from which the degassed liquid is conducted to the center of the centrifuge chamber and discharged from the rotary body against the reduced pressure through the hollow fixed shaft by means of a removal disc.

Abstract: In a process for the manufacture of film cartridges which have a substantially cyclindrical wall, a film opening extending along a generating line of the cylinder and caps at the ends, one plate per cartridge is separated from a flat strip of material to form the cartridge wall, which strip of material contains the plates for several cartridges and has a width corresponding to the circumference of a cartridge wall, and the said strip of material is fitted continuously with a sealing material along at least one of the edges for the film opening before the plates are separated, the said sealing material being delivered to the strip of material in the form of endless band of sealing strips which are bonded to the strip of material as they pass through a glueing station.

Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for the completely automatic lacquering of strip-form materials, whereby at least one unwinding device is provided with a fast running positioning device, an application roller and an opposing pressure roller are designed in such a way that they grasp the strip-form material and push it centered through the dryer and through a guide device and a winding up device is provided with at least one receiving spool which catches the strip-form material and winds it up.

Abstract: A film cassette for multi-exposure film strips has a body part with an inner compartment for a film strip and at least one opening for passage of the film strip therethrough between an initial position before exposure and a final position after exposure, and elements for preventing unintentional withdrawal of the film strip from the body part in at least one of these positions, the preventing elements arranged between the body part and the film strip. The preventing elements can be arranged so that they prevent unintentional withdrawal of the film strip in both positions. The preventing elements include a recess provided in one of the film strip and the body part, and a projection provided in the other of the film strip and the body part and engageable in the recess.
