  • Patent number: 7761080
Abstract: A method for generating an emergency call as well as an emergency sensing device and a mobile phone for executing this method. An emergency event is triggered on the emergency sensing device. When detecting the emergency event, the emergency sensing device activates a transmitter and transmits an emergency signal via a wireless communication interface to the mobile phone. • Patent number: 7577747
Abstract: The invention concerns an access server and a method for integrating web based services in an existing telecommunication network services environment comprising one or several non web based telecom service elements. A non web based telecom service element is registered in a web based description server to make known service properties of said service element to web based service elements. A web based service element sends a service request to the access server, the service request using a web based protocol. The access server converts the service request to a telecom service request and transmits said telecom service request to a corresponding telecom service element using an appropriate telecom protocol. The telecom service element transmits service data to the access server. The access server transmits the received service data using the web based protocol.

  • Patent number: 7239961
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for inputting destination data into a navigation system as well as a mobile terminal and a navigation system for executing this method. The mobile terminal having a short range wireless interface is brought into contact with the navigation system. The mobile terminal selects at least one data record including data concerning an address. Then, it transfers the at least one data record via the short range interface to the navigation system. The navigation system extracts from the received data record destination data capable to be used as source for a destination processed by the navigation system.

  • Patent number: 7123994
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of managing energy consumed by a group of energy consuming devices (31 to 39) and energy consuming devices (31 to 36) for executing this method. Energy consuming devices (31 to 36) of the group of energy consuming devices exchange messages according to an energy management control protocol via a communication media (4). The energy management control protocol comprises an energy booking message type for announcing future energy consumption, an energy reduction indication message type for announcing possible reduction of energy consumption and a granting message type for granting an energy booking message and/or an energy reduction indication. The energy consuming devices (31 to 36) negotiate their energy consumption by means of the messages exchanged according to the energy management control protocol and control their energy consumption according to the result of this negotiation.

  • Publication number: 20050262355
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of providing a key, in particular for digitally signing, verifying or encrypting data to be exchanged between a first party and a second party, comprising steps of transmitting (100) an identification code, which is uniquely identifying said first party, from said first party to a gateway (CCBS), verifying (110) said identification code by said gateway (CCBS) by using (111) an authentication server (AUC), and creating (120) a signing key. Said method is characterized by providing (130) said signing key to said first party and/or to said second party. A transmission of said signing key via a secure communications channel, in particular via a GSM-based communications infrastructure, improves the security of payment transactions. The present invention further relates to a mobile terminal (1) and a gateway (CCBS).

  • Publication number: 20050187727
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of managing energy consumed by a group (3) of energy consuming devices (31 to 39) as well as energy consuming devices (31 to 37) and an energy scheduling unit (5) for executing this method. Energy consuming devices (31 to 36) communicate requests for energy consumption to an energy scheduling unit. This unit is gathering energy consumption and/or operational data of one or more of the energy consuming devices (31 to 36) of the group (3). It schedules energy consumption with respect to available energy assigned to the group (3) and with respect to gathered energy consumption and/or operational data. Further, it controls the energy consumption of one or more of the energy consuming devices (31 to 37) of the group of energy consuming devices according to the scheduled energy consumption.

  • Publication number: 20050075120
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for providing services to terminals of a communication network, a service provision system for use with a communication network to support the provisioning of services to terminals of the communication network, and a network element for use with the communication network to provide telecommunication services to a plurality of terminals. A first service element assigned to a corresponding network element of the communication network contacts a service description server. The service description server offers a service address of a corresponding second service element to the first service element. The first service element contacts the second service element. The second service element generates service data, transmits said service data to a central service data element and returns a resource address to the first service element. The first service element accesses said service data by transmitting said resource address to said service data element.

  • Publication number: 20030091171
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for supporting the charging of services in a communications network, and to a server, a computer program and a storage medium with a computer program for executing the method. Charging data relating to the charging of a service used by a user of the communications network is generated by a network element or a service server of the communications network. For the purpose of storing the generated charging data, the network element or the service server contacts a central memory service for several network elements and/or service servers. The central memory service stores the charging data in a charging data record, managed by it, which is assigned to the user of the communications network and is suitable for containing charging data relating to the use of two or more different types of services.
