  • Publication number: 20100013164
Abstract: Gas seals are embodied in the form of contactless joints for sealing a gas processing chamber with respect to a sealed chamber, wherein a gas leak is generally extremely low. A locking labyrinth comprising at least one chamber to which the gas is supplied and which is placed upstream of the gas seal makes it possible to avoid said situation. The chamber is provided with a rate control element for operating with a constant supply pressure and for supplying the chamber with a predetermined rate gas flow.

  • Publication number: 20050260555
Abstract: A method for determining the chemosensitivity of cells towards at least one substance by measuring the apoptosis induced by said at least one substance, wherein the apoptosis is determined from the accumulated caspase activity of a sample comprising cells and a medium by adding said at least one substance to the sample followed by incubation, and measuring the accumulated caspase activity in the sample upon disruption of the cells without previously separating off the cells.

  • Patent number: 6949350
Abstract: A method for determining the chemosensitivity of cells towards at least one substance by measuring the apoptosis induced by said at least one substance, wherein the cells are incubated essentially concurrently with at least one marker whose interaction with phosphatidylserine can be detected and with said at least one substance, and the interaction between the marker and phosphatidylserine is detected in a time-resolved manner.

  • Patent number: 6140090
Abstract: A method for the labeling of molecules through the reaction of molecules to be labeled with labels at a solid phase (matrix), characterized in that the molecules enter a reaction chamber in which a matrix loaded with a reactive component is provided, and after the coupling has taken place, the labeled molecules leave the reaction chamber through a porous means.

  • Patent number: 5073071
Abstract: A shaft stop bushing (1) is proposed which is retained in a given position on a shaft (6) by means of a radially resilient stop ring (12). The stop bushing (1) has a longitudinal bore (4) with two circular grooves (7 and 11) of different diameters, between which a funnel-shaped section (10) is formed. The stop ring (12) is inserted in the larger groove (11) so that stops bushing (1) and stop ring (12) form a pre-assembled subassembly (1, 12). The preassembled subassembly (1, 12) can be slid onto the shaft (6) by a simple automatized process without the stop ring (12) touching the shaft (6). The stop ring (12) is retained in its axial position relative to an annular groove (16) of the shaft (6) and is pressed into the annular groove (16) by the stop bushing (1) upon further axial movement of the stop bushing. The entry funnel-shaped section (10) presses the stop ring (12) until, in the assembled state, the smaller-diameter circular groove (7) engages over the stop ring (12).

  • Patent number: 4199934
Abstract: A combustion chamber having an end-wall at the inlet side and an axial inlet opening, which is adjoined by an essentially cylindrical wall section provided with secondary air inlet openings; the end-wall thereby adjoins the inlet opening approximately hemispherically shaped with a sphere diameter which is larger than the diameter of the cylindrical wall section while the adjoining combustion chamber portion is again reduced to the adjacent cylindrical wall section by way of a combustion chamber wall substantially continuing the sphere shape; the fuel injection device is provided upstream of the inlet opening which injects fuel into the inlet opening, itself covered off by a deflection means.
