  • Patent number: 8747145
Abstract: The invention relates to a connector with a housing, with terminals, with conductors that are connected with the terminals, with a guidance element that is arranged in the housing and that guides the conductors in the housing, with an elastic element that is arranged between the conductors and the guidance element, with a retainer element that forces the conductors against the elastic element.

  • Patent number: 5906519
Abstract: An electrical connector comprising a housing having a terminal receiving passageway extending therethrough, where the passageway includes an insertion portion having a longitudinal axis and a contact retaining portion having a longitudinal axis, the connector characterized in that the housing includes a first part having the insertion portion therein and a second part having the contact retaining portion therein, where the second part is displaceable between a first position where the longitudinal axes are offset from each other to a second position where the longitudinal axis coincide and where the terminals are insertable in the first position and retained in the second position. A position assurance feature for contact retaining members is also provided by cooperating camming features that assure assembly of the two parts is always in the first position.

  • Patent number: 5785559
Abstract: A connector assembly comprises a housing and a secondary locking member for coupling to a complementary connector assembly comprising a housing and a secondary locking member. The housing comprises a central coding cavity that allows insertion therethrough of prismatic coding bars that extend from the secondary locking member. The complementary connector housing similarly comprises a through cavity to allow passage therein of a coding bar of the secondary locking member that is complementary to the coding bar. The secondary locking member can be assembled to the connector housing within a shroud in a preassembled position and then shifted in the direction D to the fully assembled locked position. Similarly, the secondary locking member of the complementary connector can be inserted in the shroud in a preassembled position and then shifted in the direction of arrow D to the fully locked position.

  • Patent number: 4472965
Abstract: A method for preventing damage to a temperature-dependent resistor disposed in a flow cross-section caused by overheating as a result of the ignition of a combustible, gaseous mixture during a burnoff process and an air flow rate measuring device for performing the method are proposed. The air flow rate measuring device includes a temperature-dependent resistor disposed in a bypass line. Deposits on the surface of the temperature-dependent resistor are removed in a burnoff process, preferably following the opening of the ignition switch. The danger then exists that if the device is used in a motor vehicle, combustible fuel-air mixture located in the vicinity of the temperature-dependent resistor may ignite, and the temperature-dependent resistor would thereby be destroyed because of overheating. For this reason, a slide member is pushed into the flow cross-section during the burnoff process, so that only a small combustible volume is available in the vicinity of the temperature-dependent resistor.
