Abstract: A method of producing a pack of smoking articles includes providing a pre-assembled pack of smoking articles comprising an inner pack having a flexible sheet in which a group of smoking articles is wrapped or enclosed and a re-closable flap movable between a closed position preventing access to the smoking articles and an open position for accessing the smoking articles, and an outer pack comprising a container which holds and substantially encompasses the inner pack, the outer pack having a lid in a closed position preventing access to the inner pack; creating a space or gap between the lid of the outer pack and the inner pack; and attaching the re-closable flap of the inner pack to the lid of the outer pack via and/or through the space or gap. An apparatus for producing a pack of smoking articles per the above method is also provided.

Abstract: A wrapped container of consumer goods, includes a container for housing consumer goods enclosed by a wrapper with a tear tape, a label positioned between the container and the wrapper, the label and the tear tape arranged such that actuation of the tear tape to open the wrapper causes the label to become severed, wherein at least a portion of the tear tape is at an angle with a longitudinal axis of the container and with a transverse axis of the container.

The packaging comprises an outer packet part (100) and multiple inner packet parts (150) disposed within the outer packet part. The inner packet parts can move relative to the outer packet part between a closed position and an open position. The seal (180) comprises a body portion coupled to the outer packet part, and separable portions each coupled to one of the inner packet parts. When an inner packet part (150) is moved from the closed position to the open position, this causes the seal (180) to break.
