  • Patent number: 12151409
Abstract: A double belt press has at least one press device having at least one pressing plate and at least one counter-pressure element for the pressing plate spaced from each other. Portions of first and second endless and driven metal belts are guided, opposite one another, through a press gap located between the pressing plate sides facing one another and the plate-shaped counter-pressure element. The press device has at least one pressing stamp having a pressing surface movable toward the counter-pressure element and back again. The first and second endless metal belt portions guided through the press gap are guided between the pressing surface of the at least one pressing stamp and the at least one counter-pressure element, and the pressing surface of the pressing stamp is smaller than a surface of the side of the at least one pressing plate facing the at least one counter-pressure element.

  • Patent number: 8672019
Abstract: An arrangement includes a continuous band made of metal, at least two guiding rollers, around which the continuous band is guided, and a first drive, which is set up to move the metal strip. Furthermore, the arrangement includes a textile band, a pressing device, which is set up to press the textile band against the metal strip, and a second drive which is set up to move the textile band past the pressing device. The textile band is set up to clean the continuous band made of metal. In addition, a strip casting installation is also provided which includes an arrangement of this type.

  • Patent number: 4674908
Abstract: We are dealing with a mechanism for clamping a second machine part 4 which is supported movably with respect to a first machine part 2. A clamping bar 28, which extends in the direction of movement is arranged on the second machine part 4, on which clamping bar can be clamped a clamping member 32 which is supported freely movably in directions transverse to the direction of movement of the first machine part, but otherwise clearance free. Since the clamping member 22 is as a whole freely movable in directions transverse to the direction of movement, no reactive forces whatsoever are created in the direction of movement during the clamping operation. The inventive clamping mechanism is preferably used in feed-movable spindle sleeves (tail spindles) in order to assure a secure clamping in an axial direction and in a peripheral direction, without producing forces which act transversely to the spindle axis.

  • Patent number: 4648172
Abstract: Machine tool comprising a spindlehead which can be swung into several operating positions. Coupling devices are provided, which in each operating position couple the spindle with a drive shaft from the drive motor or the transmission. In an intermediate position, the spindle is in the area of a tool changer for facilitating an automatic tool exchange.

  • Patent number: 4440050
Abstract: Drive mechanism for a feed screw or threaded spindle for tool machines. The threaded spindle is drivable both by a drive motor and also by a handwheel which can be coupled by an axial shifting movement of a control rod. The drive connection between the drive motor and the threaded spindle is released through an axial movement of the handwheel, so that the output shaft on the motor on the one hand is not moved in response to a rotational movement of the handwheel and, on the other hand, cannot drive the threaded spindle in the case of an unintended start.

  • Patent number: 4063488
Abstract: An improved tool chuck having a draw-in rod axially movably located inside a tool spindle and attached to a locking head which is positively engageable with a tang on a tool. Locking members are provided and are each movably contained in radial openings in the wall of the locking head and adapted to be pushed by a control sleeve embracing the locking head into recesses in the tang of the tool. The locking members have circular-shaped segments thereon located to face radially inwardly with part of the circular edges being slidable in slots on faces having a complementary shape and being adapted to engage the tang at the end of the tool shank.
