    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for coating high-temperature components (10) by means of plasma spraying. An infrared camera (20) is used to determine the distribution of the thermal radiation (30) of the component surface (40), and to determine therefrom the temperature distribution (70) in accordance with which a method parameter (p) is set in order to reach a threshold temperature (Ts). The invention also relates to a coating device for producing a coating (15) while monitoring the surface temperature by means of an infrared camera (20).
