  • Patent number: 7360472
Abstract: An automatic wire stripper comprises a knife unit (40) having a knife holder (41) and a knife carriage (45) articulated on the knife holder; A clamping arm unit (30) is pivotally mounted on a clamping arm bearing (30). A handle lever unit (60) is pivotally connected to a housing base (20) on a handle lever bearing (61). An articulated lever (70) has a first and second articulated lever arm (72, 75) connected in a pivotable manner by an articulated lever center axis (73). The first articulated lever arm (72) is guided with a first articulated lever axis (71) in a guiding connecting link (32) of the clamping arm unit (30). The second articulated lever (75) is fixed in an articulated manner to the knife unit (40) with the articulated lever center axis (73) guided in the handle (60).

  • Publication number: 20060248991
Abstract: An automatic wire stripper (100) comprises at least one knife unit (40) having at least one knife holder (41) and a knife carriage (45) articulated on the knife holder; a clamping arm unit (30) with at least one clamping jaw (31) disposed on the front end thereof; a housing base (20) having an upper clamping arm (25) in which the knife unit (40) is displaceably guided; at least one clamping jaw (21); a clamping arm bearing (23) whereon the clamping arm unit (30) can be pivotally mounted; a handle lever unit (60) which is pivotally connected to a housing base (20) on a handle lever bearing (61) and an articulated lever (70) having a first and a second articulated lever arm (72, 75) which are connected to each other in a pivotable manner by an articulated lever center axis (73).

  • Patent number: 6192588
Abstract: In order to give the device proposed for preparing electric wires and/or cables for installation a sensitive feel, it is designed with two outer grips (1,2) disposed opposite each other and at least one inner arm (3,4) mounted on one of the outer grips (1,2). A link element (50) holds the first outer grip (1) by a first bolt (6′), the second outer grip (2) by a second bolt (9′) and the inner arm (3,4) by at least one additional bolt (7′,8′) located in the link element (50) between the first and second bolts (6′,9′). A multiple joint (5) of this kind enables both of the outer grips (1,2) and their associated inner arms (3,4), together with their tool parts (11,12; 13,14; 15,16), to be pressed against each other and for the outer grips (1,2) to be moved different distances towards each other and also different distances with respect to the inner arm (3,4).

  • Patent number: 5469762
Abstract: In order to allow conductors or wires having different cross sections to be easily and reliably stripped, the swivelling axis pin of a stripper is designed as a double axis pin whose first substantially cylindrical pivot is arranged in a first leg and whose second substantially cylindrical pivot is arranged in a second leg. Both pivots are held and guided in an intermediate element. This sliding hinge allows both legs with their cutting tool parts to be held as forceps and to be pressed against each other and slid in one direction with respect to each other by actuating guiding elements arranged on the legs.

  • Patent number: 5131299
Abstract: An insulation stripping tool with a lower and an upper arm 2, 3 connected at a first pivoting point 8 with the arms ending in a handle at one end. One of the arms 2, at its other end, ends in a jaw which is rigidly joined to the handle. The stripping tool includes another jaw which is part of the other arm 3; stripping blade carriers associated with the jaws of which at least one, together with the jaw, can be shifted with respect to the other stripping blade; and an expanding spring which has two elements and is supported around the first pivoting point and moves apart the handles. The operation of the stripping tool is characterized in that the lower arm 3 carries a pulling lever 16 in a second pivoting point 17, which is shifted with respect to the first pivoting point. The pulling lever 16 is provided with a support 15 for the one element 13 of the spreading spring 14 and further has a joint 22 which is disposed in the area of the upper arm of the tool.

  • Patent number: 4667406
Abstract: A cable end stripping device, wherein one stripping cutter provided with at least one notch is each disposed at the active side of a pair of gripping legs adapted to be moved toward each other by pressure applied to their active ends; the stripping cutters are spaced from each other in the cutting position such that a minimum clearance exists between the cutters; and the gripping legs are joined to a handle portion at the end opposite from the active side, wherein the handle portion (1) has a laterally open U-shaped section or profile which has the gripping legs (2, 2') fixed to the opposing inner faces thereof.
