  • Patent number: 5622710
Abstract: An animal feed additive comprising stable pellets is produced by pelletizing from a fermentation broth containing an animal feed additive with at least 33% by weight of the fermentation products present. The pellets can be produced particularly effectively by pelletizing providing they are built up from at least 30% by weight of fine particles of which at least 70% by weight are smaller than 100 .mu.m in size. The biomass may be completely present, partly present or not present at all in the pellets.

  • Patent number: 4447615
Abstract: Crude nicotinamide is purified by a recrystallization and in this way freed especially from nicotinic acid and salts of nicotinic acid. As solvent there is used a 2-methylpropanol-1 containing water. The recrystallization takes place at a pH between about 7 and 10.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4447614
Abstract: Crude nicotinamide is purified by a recrystallization and thereby is particularly freed from nicotinic acid and salts of nicotinic acid. As solvent there is used 2-methylpropanol-1 containing water. The warm solution after dissolving the crude nicotinamide is treated with ion exchangers.

    Assignee: Degussa Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Helmut Beschke, Franz-Ludwig Dahm, Heinz Friedrich, Gunter Prescher
  • Patent number: 4276143
Abstract: There is provided an apparatus for continuous measurement of ion concentration in solutions by means of ion sensitive electrodes, which apparatus consists of an electrode containing measuring cell and a dosaging device. This apparatus is particularly suited for measuring cyanide ion concentration in strong hydrochloride solution in the presence of cyanogen chloride. The dosaging device contains a degassing section and a reflecting plate to which the supply means for the working solution to be measured and for the necessary auxiliary reagents are directed, the supply means being in the form of screens or nozzles.

  • Patent number: 4237299
Abstract: Pyridine and 3-methylpyridine prepared by the catalytic reaction of acrolein or a mixture of acetaldehyde and acrolein with ammonia is recovered from the gas mixture formed by cooling the gas mixture and working up the condensate separated in the cooling. The gaseous mixture is first cooled to a temperature between 40.degree. and about 80.degree. C. and then cooled to a temperature between about 10.degree. and below 40.degree. C.
