  • Patent number: 7260084
Abstract: A method for establishing a connection from a network-internal terminal of a communication network, the network-internal connections of which are managed by a connection controller, to a network-external connection destination, wherein the connection is established via a gateway device which is registered in the connection controller under the logical address of the network-external connection destination, and on the basis of the logical destination address, the connection controller establishes a network-internal connection from the terminal to the gateway device, and in the gateway device itself, a network-externally valid transport address is assigned to the logical destination address, on the basis of which transport address the connection is relayed to the network-external connection destination.

  • Patent number: 7082120
Abstract: An H.323 or SIP connection is set up from a source network (LAN1) via at least one packet-oriented transit network (WAN1, WAN2) to a connection destination (EG2) which is external to the source network. The connection is set up via gateway devices (GW1, . . . , GW4) which are cascaded between networks and respectively manage only access to gateway devices and communication devices which are logically directly adjacent. In this context, H.323 connection setup signaling (SET1, . . . , SET4) is conveyed, using logical address information (030-222) or sections thereof (030, 030-2), from gateway device to gateway device until it reaches the connection destination (EG2).

  • Patent number: 6161019
Abstract: A communication system has cordless system units (1, 2, 3, 4) connected to a communication network (7). The cordless system units respectively has at least one cordless base station (11-13, 21-23, 31, 32, 41). The identification of a respective cordless terminal equipment (8) is stored in a cordless system unit (1, 2, 3, 4) allocated thereto as a home system unit. The possibility or, respectively, allowability of a connection setup from the respective cordless system unit (1, 2, 3, 4) to a cordless terminal equipment (8) can be checked by a check apparatus (15, 25, 35, 45) respectively allocated to the cordless system units (1, 2, 3, 4). The cordless system units (1, 2, 3, 4) are connected to a network (6, 61) offering a connectionless service in order to exchange information with one another dependent on check results of the check apparatus (15, 25, 35, 45).
