  • Patent number: 7286952
Abstract: A method for testing subscriber access lines wherein the test is carried out locally, online and virtually all the time with the assistance of the digital signal processor for the subscriber line. The test results are gathered at a central point and are signaled from there; when required, to specific locations in the subscriber access network, for example, to a distribution node where maintenance work is currently being carried out.

  • Publication number: 20050129182
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for determining the operating status of at least one part of a telecommunications network, in particular the operating status of any subscriber connection in a telecommunications network, with which the request for this is made via any telecommunications terminal and the operating status is output in a predeterminable manner to any telecommunications terminal. For example, a subscriber in a telecommunications network can obtain information in this way regarding a malfunction in the telecommunications network.

  • Publication number: 20040258212
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for debugging xDSL line cards. An electrical connection is established by means of a test bus, between a line port to be tested and a testing line port which can be operated in the upstream and downstream direction with the same bandwidth. The testing line port is charged with a software which simulates a subscriber-side modem, and the successful establishment of a connection between the line ports represents a function confirmation for the line port to be tested.

  • Publication number: 20040037213
Abstract: The invention specifies a method and an arrangement for testing and maintaining a switching center in a telecommunications network and the lines and appliances connected thereto, where control is effected using a test unit provided for this purpose which is connected to any digital subscriber line. This results in a significant increase in the scope of use for the test system, simple introduction of new test methods, performance of extensive tests with a single test unit, and fast and secure data transmission.
