  • Patent number: 5313029
Abstract: A switch lever of a steering column switch for motor vehicles has an electric switch arranged at the free end of the switch lever and includes at least one switch component and a housing, which is inserted as a functional switch unit with its housing in a holder in the free end of the switch lever. In the free end of the switch lever there are first electric connection contacts with which corresponding second electric connection contacts on the switch unit can be put into operational connection on the insertion of said switch unit. This provides a switch lever, the assembly of which to the switch unit is simplified and which at the same time ensures reliable operation.

  • Patent number: 4454977
Abstract: In order to connect a tube of a more common material, such as stainless steel, to a tube of a highly corrosion-resistant metal such as tantalum, where the two tubes cannot be welded together by fussion technology, a connection piece is made of two closely fitting layers of the two materials telescoped into each other, which are exposed to hot compressed noble gas, such as argon, in a pressure vessel, with precautions against oxidation from residual oxygen in the noble gas. Then the ends are machined to remove any hard soldered portion used to make a gas-tight seal of the blank before pressure treatment, after which a longer ring-shaped section of the stainless part of the connection piece is removed at one end and likewise a section of the tantalum part of the connection piece at the other end, so that the projecting ends can be welded to the pipes to be joined.

  • Patent number: 4323394
Abstract: A method for manufacturing turborotors such as gas turbine rotor wheels having blades of a ceramic material enables an improved rotor wheel to be produced by forming a blade-to-disk connection by sintering the roots of the blades in place within the rotor disk. According to one embodiment, premanufactured blades are joined to the rotor by sintering the entire rotor disk to the premanufactured blades, while in a second embodiment, premanufactured blades are joined to a premanufactured disk by a sintered connection. To compensate for different thermal expansions between the blade and the sintering material, a ductile material is applied to the blade roots before sintering. This ductile material is applied as a coating made of metallic powders, or as a metal felt.

  • Patent number: 4284903
Abstract: A device for adjusting the inclination of vehicular headlamps includes an electric motor for positioning the headlamps, an adjusting switch for selecting one of a plurality of predetermined headlamp positions and a reversing switch connected to the adjusting switch. The reversing switch is mechanically coupled to the actuator of the adjusting switch such that when the direction of headlamp inclination is reversed, the motor direction is reversed thereby preventing momentary movement of the headlamps through unintended angles of inclination.
