  • Publication number: 20230192350
Abstract: A glass tube for pharmaceutical containers is provided. The tube has an inner surface at an inner diameter, an outer surface with an outer diameter, a first end defining a first closed end, a second end defining a first closed end, a first location 400 mm from the first end, a first intermediate location 15 mm from the first end, and a ventilation hole at a first vicinity. The first vicinity is between the first intermediate location and the first location. The glass tube can have a ratio of an integrated Na2F+ signal to an integrated 30Si+ signal of at least 0.10, where the integrated Na2F+ signal and the integrated 30Si+ signal are integrated over a depth of 100 nm. The glass tube can have a ratio between a fluorescence emission determined at a first vicinity and a fluorescence emission determined at a middle section of at least 0.6.

  • Publication number: 20210271292
Abstract: A docking station (1) is for an electronic hand stamp having an inkjet printhead. The docking station (1) includes a body (2) having a rest surface (4) for receiving a substantially flat bottom side of an electronic hand stamp and a border (5) at least partially framing the rest surface (4). The docking station (1) also includes at least one wiper element (3) connected to the body (2) and that projects on one side from the body (2). The wiper element (3) includes a wiper blade (17) for manually sweeping across an inkjet printhead.

  • Publication number: 20190002333
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and device for cutting glass tubes with a length L from a glass tubing that moves at a feed rate v1. The glass tubing is investigated for defects with an analytical device. The analytical device determines whether a glass tube to be separated is either defect-free (case 1) or contains defects (case 2). In case 1, a defect-free glass tube of the length L is separated from the glass tubing. In case 2, the device and method of the present disclosure determines a distance LA in the lengthwise direction between the defect and a free end of the glass tube to be separated. The distance LA is determined from the portion of the defect at the greatest distance from the free end of the tube. The device and method of the present disclosure then separates a piece of a glass tube or a glass tube that contains defects from the glass tubing at a distance LS from the free end of the glass tube, as a function of LA.

  • Patent number: 9458045
Abstract: A method for the sealing of glass tubes in a hot softened state is provided. The method includes softening the glass at a severing zone adjacent to an end portion of the glass tube and rotating the glass tube about its longitudinal axis while being heated until a hot softened state is reached in which the end portion is severed off. The hot softened end portion of the glass tube can be pulled-off from the severing zone by a pulling-off device in such a way that the glass tube is simultaneously heat sealed at the severing zone during the severing process.

  • Patent number: 8431196
Abstract: The glass tube assembly has an outer glass tube provided with a tapered section and an inner glass tube or rod, which is arranged inside of the outer glass tube and which has a spiral section. The tapered section is formed by one or more projections on the inner surface of the outer glass tube. Each projection extends in a longitudinal direction of the outer glass tube and does not extend around its entire circumference. The internal width of the tapered section is smaller than the outside diameter of the spiral section of the inner glass tube or rod, so that the inner glass tube or rod is reliably prevented from slipping or rotating out of the outer glass tube by its spiral section. A method of making the glass tube assembly is also described.

  • Publication number: 20090324860
Abstract: A method for fixing the location of a glass rod spiral (5) in a glass tube (2) for applications for the process treatment of a gas flow, wherein the glass rod spiral comprises a spiral-shaped glass tube or glass rod section (5) with a specified outside diameter (W), in which method the glass tube (2) is provided on its internal surface with at least one projection (3) not extending around its full circumference, so that a tapered section of glass tube with a specified internal width (w) is formed to be smaller than the specified outside diameter (W) of the glass tube or glass rod spiral. The projection extends in the longitudinal direction of the glass tube and has a length that is greater than the pitch of the spiral glass tube or glass rod section (5).
