Abstract: A device for punching blanks out of a flat sheet, in particular packaging blanks consisting of cardboard or corrugated cardboard, using a punching tool that is mounted in a carrier plate and projects beyond the plate in the form of a blade or cutting line, in addition to profiled strips, consisting of a material of limited flexibility, which flank the tool. A rail-type profiled channel consisting of a rigid material is located on the carrier plate, running parallel to the punching tool on each side of the longitudinal faces of the latter and one cross-sectional area of the profiled strip is inserted into the profiled channel in a positive fit. In addition, at least one lateral face of the cross-section of the profiled strip has a protuberant base.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for removing break-off pieces (12), especially waste parts, from a sheet of material containing blanks or similar flat pieces. An abutment device (20) which can move in a longitudinal direction is associated with a break-off tool (40, 42). The abutment device protrudes into a through opening (16). Even when said device is in a rest position it supports the break-off component or waste part of the sheet of material (10) in an approximately parallel position. When the waste part moves, its position can be modified by the break-off tool and brought into a specific angle of inclination in relation to the sheet of material, especially when the waste part is lowered.

Abstract: An apparatus for the production of a device for detaching portions of a planer workpiece of cardboard used in the folding box industry. The workpiece contains at least one blank for a folding box and adjoining waste pieces which are removed from the plane of the workpiece by the device. The device is formed of a plurality of breaking out pins inserted into a breaking out plate, the pins corresponding in position to the positions of the waste pieces of the blank. The apparatus includes a pressing element for pressing each breaking out pin into the breaking out plate and a magazine device for feeding the pins to the pressing element. A guide piece is associated with the magazine device and the pressing element which acts to guide each pin from the magazine. The guide piece is provided in the feed path of the of the magazine and is provided with a recess for receiving each individual breaking out pin.

Abstract: Apparatus for removing break-out portions and in particular waste pieces from a sheet of material which contains blanks or the like and which rests on a break-out surface in such a way that the break-out portion extends over an aperture in the break-out surface and is pressed downwardly through the aperture under the pressure of at least one break-out member, in particular a break-out pin. Associated with the break-out member beneath the break-out portion is a support which is guided in the direction of movement of the break-out member. The support is a surface which is springy and/or movable within the aperture at least partially into a position at a spacing relative to the break-out surface and which in its rest position engages beneath the waste piece in the sheet of material and which is adapted to be transferred into an inclined position relative to the sheet of material upon movement of the waste piece by the break-out member, in particular upon downward movement of the waste piece.

Abstract: A container comprising a web or blank of material of limited flexibility with wall portions in which at least one edge is separated from a bent-over edge strip portion by a bend line, is provided with a maximum degree of stability so as to avoid any outward bulging and to resist the resilient forces tending to cause a return to an initial position. For that purpose, the bend line is interrupted by at least one geometrical surface portion serving as a stabilizing member which projects both into the edge strip portion and also into the wall portions, and which is separated from both by desired or predetermined bend lines.

Abstract: A disc-like cover for a frying pan comprising a disc stamped to form a carrier ring with a plurality of spoke-like radial arms connected to the ring and extending inwardly to a central region at which the radial arms merge together. A steam permeable filter of fibrous material is secured to the disc on one side thereof to cover open sectors formed in the disc between the arms. The filter is secured to the disc by a permanent adhesive. The arms each have a plurality of transverse relief cuts respectively extending from one radial edge of the associated arm partially across the width of the arm over a length greater than one-half of the width. The cuts extend parallel to one another in the region where the arms are joined to the carrier ring to form a weakening zone permitting limited change in shape of the arm. The adhesive between the filter and disc is reduced to a narrow zone at the relief cuts to leave an unadhered zone between the filter and disc adjacent the narrow zone.

Said container is intended for contents of a finely divided form which could give rise to dust, and is able to prevent this dust formation.To this end the edges at the sides of the dust flap extend on both sides beyond the delimiting wall section a distance from the related fold line to produce peaklike areas; each of which is delimited by a curved contour and are joined to another wall which is adjoined to and is at an angle to that wall section, the edge at the side of the dust flap featuring a radial curvature at least in the region next to the fold line.

Abstract: A carrying and holding device comprising a plate or the like having provision for receiving a cup or the like, especially a fruit or yogurt cup and including laterally bent up edge portions to secure the cup for storage in groups within boxes. The carrying device is formed from a flat sheet of cardboard or the like which is folded to form a rectangular case with a recess for the cup, the spacing between two facing edges of the recess being less than the diameter of the cup so as to be deformed to hold the rim of the cup while gripping its side wall.

Abstract: A cover for a frying pan comprising at least one absorptive, at least partially air-pervious surface of a filter material such as filter paper, filter wadding, fabric or the like. The filter material can be provided with openings which are at least partially covered. The filter material can be secured in a circumferential ring which extends in the plane of the cover or approximately perpendicular to such plane. The cover can also be curved in the shape of a hood.

Abstract: Methods for separating and stacking sheets of paper, cardboard and the like delivered from sheet punching machines and consisting of useful and waste portions connected together by small fillets are disclosed. The methods include supplying punched but unseparated sheets onto a severing table, severing the sheets in order to form separate stack portions and depositing these separate stack portions onto a stacking surface after withdrawing the severing table from under the stacked portions.
