    Abstract: A carburetor for an internal combustion engine comprises a combustion air intake duct, a valve in the duct for controlling the air flow through the duct, a fuel flow regulator in the valve for controlling fuel flow through a downstream portion of the valve in dependence on the air flow, and a turbine associated with the fuel flow regulator and driven by the exhaust gases of the engine, the turbine having a rotating tubular hub extending through the valve and surrounding the fuel flow regulator, the tubular hub being connected to the fuel outlet through the valve.

    Abstract: An atomized fuel-air mixture is obtained in a heartshaped chamber of a rotating member which is mounted in the combustion air inlet duct of an internal combustion engine. Fuel and a gaseous medium are injected into the chamber and are thoroughly mixed by a fuel flow dividing portion formed by the curved walls of the chamber in axial alignment with the fuel injection nozzle, which deflects the fuel flow from the axis of rotation towards the periphery of the chamber. Outlet channels exhaust the fuel-gaseous medium mixture from the chamber and impart a rotational force to the member.

    Abstract: The four strokes of a piston in an internal combustion engine are sequentially controlled by two rotary valves, each including a housing and a triangularly shaped rotor mounted in the housing for epitrochoidal movement. The rotor defines three chambers in the housing and a duct connects respective ports in the housing of each valve to the working chamber of an engine cylinder. The engine drive shaft is so synchronized with the rotary movement of the rotors that, for each complete stroke, one chamber in the housings is in communication with the cylinder chamber through the duct, while the intake and exhaust ports in the housing of the first valve are selectively in and out of communication with the one chamber. A surface of the rotors is exposed to gases coming from the cylinder chamber during the power stroke so that these gases contribute to the rotary movement of the rotors.
