  • Patent number: 11846973
Abstract: A multicore processor may include a plurality of cores including at least a first core and a second core, a shared peripheral comprising a plurality of interrupt register banks including at least a first interrupt register bank dedicated to the first core and a second interrupt register bank dedicated to the second core, and a plurality of communications bridges, including at least a first bridge interfaced between the first core and the shared peripheral and at least a second bridge interfaced between the second core and the shared peripheral. The first core may be configured to program the first interrupt register bank via the first bridge to configure the shared peripheral for access by the first core. The second core may be configured to program the second interrupt register bank via the second bridge to configure the shared peripheral for access by the second core.

  • Patent number: 7035229
Abstract: A method and apparatus for dynamic allocation of conferencing resources in a telecommunications system is provided. The method and apparatus provide for dynamic allocation of conferencing resources in two forms, first a predefined order of allocation of time slots for use in conferencing is described. This predefined order of allocation minimizes the risk that a conference will be interrupted if additional line cards are added to the system while the conference is in progress. The second form of dynamic allocation of resources involves locating and selecting the digital signal processing (DSP) resources to perform the conferencing function. For this allocation, the conference type is first identified. The conference will be determined to be a static, dynamic or critical conference by the CPU/Matrix card. Based upon this determination, the DSP circuit with the appropriate resources for that conference type is selected. For example, if the conference is determined to be dynamic, i.e.

  • Publication number: 20050192453
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a method for disabling electronic devices in order to reliably prevent third parties from gaining unauthorized knowledge of data in the event of loss of the storage medium. The device comprises a gas generator, with a pyrotechnic propelling charge, disposed in the area of the storage medium. At least one fuel or at least one oxidator of the propelling charge releases, when the latter is triggered, well conducting metals, especially precious or semi-precious metals which are deposited on the electronic parts of the electronic device. According to the inventive method, the igniter can be triggered manually, by sensors or remote-controlled. The invention further relates to an electronic data processing system and a telephone comprising such a device.

  • Publication number: 20050145647
Abstract: The invention relates to a self-defence module comprising a housing containing a chamber that holds a free-flowing active medium and comprising a compressed gas source for spontaneously dispensing the active medium from the chamber. In order to be able to miniaturise the self-defence module, the compressed gas source is configured from a pyrotechnic gas generator and an ignition unit that interacts with the generator. According to the application, the ignition unit can be triggered manually or by a sensor. The invention also relates to the use of a self-defence module of this type for the protection of persons, buildings, means of transport or valuables.

  • Patent number: 6701131
Abstract: A call progress analysis system is provided which is generic to any telecommunications system with which it is used due to configurable detection parameters. A signal on a channel of the telecommunications system is detected in intervals of changing frequency composition and compared to stored pattern descriptors, each of which defines a different call progress signal. In an alternative embodiment of the invention, a frequency mask is computed that is specific to a user-defined call progress analysis class. This frequency mask is used to make the DSP receiver ignore frequencies that are not part of any call progress pattern in a particular class. The frequency mask can be used in a frequency detection mode or an energy detection mode. In either mode, the detector can be customized for each channel.

  • Patent number: 6662211
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing unified conferencing services in a telecommunications system is described. A DSP chip in the system contains an internal CPU and on-chip memory storage device. The CPU is programmed such that when a conference has been established, the time slots or channels of PCM information are collected and stored. Channels are sub-sampled at a pre-determined optimal time interval. The energy for each sub-sample, which is a mathematical summation over time utilizing a sum of squares equation, is calculated for each channel. These calculated energies are stored in an associated array. The energies are surveyed to select the N loudest channels. The input signals (the voice information) for those N loudest channels are used to form the conference. More specifically, the sum of the N loudest channels is generated. This sum forms the basis for a broadcast output.
