    Abstract: Cathode cup has a stop shoulder therein. Cathode is spring urged against the stop shoulder so that it is retained in position through mechanical shock and thermal cycling. The method of assembling the cathode structure includes the step of compressing the spring loaded structure and staking the cathode cup behind the spring.
