  • Patent number: 4708616
Abstract: In the extrusion apparatus for plastics foil, a smoothing rolling mill (2) is allocated to a device (1) for extruding a soft, warm plastic, in the plasticizing cylinder (3) of which, the plastic is brought to processing temperature and from this conveyed out through a fishtail die (6) by means of a conveyor screw (5), whereby a displaceable filter band (8) is inserted before the fishtail die. In this connection, the filter band (8) has a width of at least approximately the inlet-side width of the fishtail die (6) and is displaceably situated at right angles to the longitudinal extension of the die (6).Through these measures, an extension apparatus for manufacturing foil out of plastic results, which permits with low filter consumption and optimal and functionally reliable control, the manufacture of a high-quality foil.

  • Patent number: 4658862
Abstract: A driving arrangement for a circular loom has at least one electromagnetic coupling which is capable of being actuated by a stop impulse synchronous with the stop signal of the weft thread supervisor, is disposed between the driving motor of the circular loom and the transmission of the fabric drawing-off device. This permits at a stop signal from the weft thread supervisor the disengagement of the transmission of the fabric drawing-off device from the driving motor of the circular loom, whereupon the fabric drawing-off device, with the inertia of the main shaft, immediately stops, unaffected by after-running of other loom components connected to the motor.

  • Patent number: 4627583
Abstract: The winding equipment for winding yarn, tape or wire-shaped material comprises a bobbin shaft carrying a rotatably fixed armature plate, which is in magnetic, adjustable driving connection with a plate carrying permanent magnets and fixed on the shaft of the driving motor, the adjustment thereof resulting by a thread tension regulating device with a dancing arm carrying a dancing roller. In this connection, the motor or the shaft thereof carrying the permanent magnet plate is supported relative to the bobbin shaft carrying the armature plate radially displaceable as a function of the rotating motion of the dancing arm on the frame of the winding equipment.

  • Patent number: 4619293
Abstract: In the circular reed of the circular loom, a plurality of weaving shuttles circulate. Each weaving shuttle has rollers arranged in pairs at its top edge and its bottom edge. The rollers operate together with the corresponding gliding surfaces on the upper shuttle race or lower shuttle race of the circular reed, and each shuttle is supported to circulate on shuttle guide rods by the centrifugal force conveyed by the support elements. The shuttle guide rods of the circular reed define between them a slit in the region of the upper and the lower shuttle races, which slit receives upon opening of the travelling shed one of the warp threads of the upper shed or the lower shed, and form there an upper and a lower rollway, taking up the centrifugal force of the circulating weaving shuttle for the respective pairs of support rollers on the shuttle. The slit widens outside the rollways towards the reed-horizontal median plane to a warp-yarn crossing space.

  • Patent number: 4616681
Abstract: Weft threads on a circular loom which are wound off the respective bobbin of the weaving shuttle traveling in the weaving shed along a circular path formed by the circular reed, and transferred onto the fabric edge of the tubular fabric, are supervised by a scanner in order to generate an electric stop signal in the case of a weft thread fault. This results from the use of a non-contact sensory system of capacitive, inductive, opto-electric or magnetic kind, with the scanner means comprising a tipping lever supported on the respective shuttle and acted upon by the drawn-off thread against the effect of a restoring force, said tipping lever functioning like a switch, in the case of a weft thread fault, and combined with at least one signal transmitting component of the sensory system arranged on the reed.

  • Patent number: 4579149
Abstract: With the circular loom, a plurality of partial healds are arranged circularly around a main shaft of the loom, and each comprises a plurality of inner and outer yarn guiding eyes for the guidance of a part of the two systems of warp yarn distributed all around, and which are given a countercurrent up-and-down motion for the formation of the weaving or travelling shed by sequential means, which engage a plate cam on and revolving with said main shaft of the loom. The inner or outer yarn guiding eyes are connected together by band means, each of which is guided over upper or lower guide rollers.

  • Patent number: 4574846
Abstract: The arrangement comprises a two-armed movable lever, which is swivel-supported on the loom and which is held by a warp thread, found in a stretched state and guided through a yarn guiding eyelet on the one movable lever arm, countering the effect of a spring means, which engages on the lever arm that is free of eyelet, and which is in a regulating position, which compensates the alternating tension on the warp thread, with the movable lever closing an electric circuit when brought into signal position as a result of the unstretched or missing warp thread.
