  • Patent number: 6883274
Abstract: A method and device for opening a door includes a receptacle structure. The receptacle structure is coupled to the door. The receptacle structure has a top surface and an angled guiding surface. The top surface forms an angled protrusion. The receptacle structure has a receptacle and the receptacle is formed between the top surface and the angled guiding surface. The device also includes a latching rod and a sliding assembly coupled to the latching rod. Movement of the sliding assembly causes the latching rod to contact the angled protrusion. The contact of the latching rod with the angled protrusion of the receptacle structure causes the rod to push the receptacle structure and the door to a partially open position. After contacting the angled protrusion, the latching rod navigates across the angled guiding surface of the receptacle structure, pushing the door to a further partially open position.

  • Publication number: 20030090184
Abstract: A system and method of opening a storage unit includes a foot pedal, lever arm, linkage arm, spring, and latching rod. The lever arm is coupled to the foot pedal. The linkage arm is coupled to the lever arm. The spring is coupled to the linkage arm. The latching rod is coupled to the spring and is in a latched position. Downward movement of the foot pedal causes movement of the lever arm and the movement of the lever arm causes movement of the linkage arm. The movement of the linkage arm causes stretching of the spring and the latching rod remains stationary.

  • Patent number: 4506553
Abstract: A gas flow rotor cyclically connects a microphone to a dynamic flow press and then a reference static flow pressure. The microphone converts the pressures to a resultant alternating differential signal providing a first input to a phase-locked amplifier. A second amplifier input is derived from an optical pickup mounted on the rotor. Only the AC component of the converted microphone signal, which has a fixed phase relationship to that of the rotor, is amplified. A readout connected in circuit with the amplifier indicates the dynamic flow pressure.

  • Patent number: 4488201
Abstract: An A.C. power entry module for supplying A.C. power to equipment which provides A.C. fusing, power on-off switching, RFI filtering and selection of voltage. The module can be utilized for both U.S. and European style fusing and a number of different voltage options are available which can be selected by merely changing the position of a circuit board. The contacts for engaging the fuses are mounted such that an operator cannot come in contact with them and the European or U.S. fuses can be easily selected by inverting a fuse holder board.
