Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a system and method to allow sellers of products to establish individual products in a multilevel marketing (MLM) commission system, where the product is offered and sold to a first purchaser—who then actively by requesting a code, or passively, through the purchase of the product, becomes a user of the commission system. This user is provided a code such that the code may be passed onto followers of the registered user. The registered user will be allowed to advertise the product to a second purchaser and the second purchaser will be allowed to purchase the product and provide advertisements to other purchasers. Commissions paid to respective downline purchasers for a single product may be limited by a preset number of defined levels. After a product is purchased, commissions are paid out to each respective purchaser according to the defined commission levels.

A method of a distributor system includes receiving a transaction associated with an item provided from a third party; identifying a user associated with the transaction; identifying a commission plan for the item from a plurality of commission plans for the item, wherein the commission plan is configured by the third party; and determining a commission associated with the user based on the commission plan associated with the item. In one aspect, the method includes creating alternative commission plans and comparing transactions based on commission plans to identify correlations in commission plans and transactions.

Information that may be used to track a series of product or service purchases (transactions) may be stored in these sets of linked data-blocks to facilitate the fidelity of data associated with sets of transactions made by related users that belong to a multilevel marketing (MLM) organization. Data stored at these data-blocks may be protected by pairs of keys to mitigate data loss, data corruption, or accesses by nefarious individuals. Each data-block of this chain of data-blocks may be parsed to identify commission data and to identify users that should receive commissions based on the sale of the product or service. These data-blocks may store as a set of blockchain data where pointers point to different respective data-blocks that contain data used to identify specific users that should receive commissions.

Users that purchase the product may the sell that product.

Once a person has purchased an item (a product or service) via their user device, they may be allowed to share information associated with the item with other user devices. This process may allow users to select products offered for sale by the MLM organization after which hyperlinks may be generated that are associate a universal resource locator (URL) with item identification and referral information. When a user device accesses the hyperlink, that user device may access a computer that collects data regarding user access. This computer may then redirect the user device to a webpage identified by the URL that sells the item. When a user purchases the product, commissions may be paid out to a set of related distributors that previously purchased the product.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to methods for returning funds that were paid as commissions to users of a multi-level marketing (MLM) organization that were part of a product tree of related users. These funds may be recovered after a previously purchased product has been returned. This tree of related users may have been created by a first user purchasing a product and then promoting the sale of that product to a second user that purchased the product and that promoted sale of the product to a third user who also purchased the product. Commissions may have been paid to users within the product tree when users that they sponsored or users that their sponsors sponsored purchased the product. In an instance when a user returns a product, commissions paid based on the sale of that returned product will be returned using methods and apparatus consistent with the present disclosure.

A member of an MLM organization may create a photo or a video of themselves using a product after which that member may associate an image of the product in the photo or video with a link to an offering to purchase the product. This process may include embedding a link within an image that can be selected by a user pointing and clicking on the product or by the user touching the product when the image of the product is displayed on a touch screen display. After a user purchases the product offered for sale, one or more related users may receive commissions based on a relationship that ties the related users to the sale of the product.
