    Abstract: Methods and compositions for treating a skin blistering disease are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method of treating a subject suffering from a skin blistering disease is disclosed. The method involves identifying an epithelial cell adhesion molecule associated with the skin blistering disease (EpCAM); then identifying a non-pathogenic monoclonal antibody (mAb) that targets the EpCAM; and then administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of the mAb.
