Abstract: A hygienic article including a topsheet, a backsheet having first and second end edges extending in a lateral direction of the article and first and second side edges extending in a longitudinal direction of the article, and first and second leg elastic members extending along the first and second side edges of the backsheet. The backsheet includes first and second leg elastic anchoring portions extending along the side edges of the backsheet, the first and second leg elastic anchoring portions including two layers of backsheet material, with the first and second leg elastic members being arranged between the two layers of backsheet material, the first and second leg elastic members terminating at a distance from the first end edge of the backsheet, first leg elastic free portions are arranged at the first end edge of the hygienic article.
