Abstract: A spool holder and spool is disclosed for equipping sport fishing boats to handle a plurality of large diameter lures and lengths of high test monofiliment line in a minimum operative storage area. A plurality of large spools are mounted for rotation upon a sturdy base and the spools are designed to wind and store at least fifty feet of heavy fishing line. A plurality of hook holding bars are provided in spaced locations from the spools to permit the storage of the lures in longitudinally and transversely staggered arrangement. The spools themselves are provided with arcuate recesses in the line storage area to provide additional space to receive end knots or fittings in a manner not to detract from the available line storage area.
