  • Patent number: 7171984
Abstract: A mixing valve has a housing having hot- and cold-water inlets and at least one hot-, cold-, or mixed-water outlet. Respective hot- and cold-water valves in the housing each have a valve stem rotatable to control flow through the respective valve and carrying a respective externally toothed gear. Respective hot- and cold-water control rings rotatably mounted about a common axis on the housing each have internal teeth in continuous mesh in all angular positions of the valves and rings with the gears of the respective valves.

  • Publication number: 20050115617
Abstract: In a mixing valve has a housing (1) having hot- and cold-water inlets and at least one hot-, cold-, or mixed-water outlet and holding two parallel valves (2a and 2b) for separate control of the hot and cold water, the two valves (2a and 2b) each having a valve stem that is connected at one end with a respective valve member and on the other side with a gear (20) couplable with an actuator, it is proposed that the actuator comprise two control rings (3 and 4) rotatably mounted on the housing (1) and having internal teeth, the internal teeth of each of the control rings (3 and 4) meshing in every angular position with a respective one of the gears (20) of the respective valve (2a or 2b).

  • Patent number: 6182700
Abstract: A valve assembly has a valve housing formed with a bore open at a surface and extending along an axis, an inlet passage opening into the bore, inner and outer outlet passages also opening into the bore, and an inner valve seat between the inlet passage and the inner outlet passage. A sleeve fitted in the bore forms an outer valve seat between the inlet passage and the outer outlet passage and a valve body is displaceable in the bore between an inner position against the inner seat and blocking flow from the inlet passage to the inner outlet passage and an outer position against the outer seat and blocking flow from the inlet passage to the outer outlet passage. A retaining disk fitted in the bore between the outer surface and the sleeve secures the sleeve in the bore. A stem extending through the sleeve and through the disk has an inner end connected to the valve body and an outer end outside the valve housing. Seals are provided between the sleeve and the stem.

  • Patent number: 5850846
Abstract: A single-control valve having a valve housing and a stem projecting along a stem axis from the housing and displaceable relative to the housing to control flow through the valve has a handle assembly having a handle body having an actuating arm, a cup-shaped part spacedly surrounding the stem and projecting toward the valve housing, and a mounting collar fittable snugly over the stem. An annular cover skirt us supported on the body by interengaging formations for displacement of the skirt relative to the body between an access position forming with the body an access hole and a use position closely snugly juxtaposed with the body and closing the hole. A fastener engaged is in the collar with the stem and accessible through the hole by a tool only in the access position of the skirt. The fastener is hidden by the skirt in the use position.

  • Patent number: 5755258
Abstract: A valve assembly has a housing forming an outlet, having an axis, and secured on a support surface. A support block in the housing has a pair of inlet ports adapted to be connected to pressurized feed lines and an output port communicating with the outlet of the housing. A valve cartridge sitting on the support block includes a casing centered on the housing axis and having a rear end formed with axially rearwardly directed bumps and a stack of disks in the casing including an end disk formed with ports provided with seals projecting axially forward past the casing to the respective support-block ports and at least one valve disk displaceable to vary flow from the inlet ports to the outlet port. A stem projecting axially rearward from the casing is displaceable to move the valve disk.
