Abstract: A liquid-storing container is produced having holes punched during manufacturing into the plug type lid-receiving groove(s) of the container to mitigate the accumulation of excess liquids therein. During normal use, after initial opening of the container, liquids that would otherwise gather in said groove(s), either through pouring or the “brushing” of an applicator across the inner edge of the lid-receiving groove(s) to remove excess liquid, such as a paint brush, will now flow through said “pre-fab” holes and return to the interior of the container. In this invention, liquids that previously would overflow from the lid-receiving groove to the exterior wall of the container will be significantly limited, assuring minimal wasted liquids and a much cleaner exterior wall of the container and surrounding workspace. Additionally, after each use dried liquids cannot accumulate in the lid-receiving groove that would otherwise compromise the effectiveness of the reusable sealed lid of the container.

In one example, fuel injection timing of a cylinder of the engine is adjusted during a hot engine restart such that a fuel injector is open only when the cylinder pressure is greater than a threshold cylinder pressure. The threshold cylinder pressure may be adjusted responsive to a fuel rail pressure.

Abstract: An unitary stratified composite composed of a first stratum and a second stratum integrally connected by a transition zone is disclosed. The first stratum serves as a liquid acquisition stratum that rapidly acquires and then transfers liquid to the second stratum. The second stratum serves to withdraw liquid from the first stratum and further severs as a temporary storage stratum. Methods for forming the unitary stratified composite are also disclosed.

Abstract: An absorbent composite that includes a fibrous matrix having absorbent material dispersed in bands along the composite's length is disclosed. The bands define liquid distribution zones. On liquid contact, absorbent material swelling occurs and produces a wetted composite having flutes that include swollen absorbent material separated by distribution zones, regions of the composite that are substantially free of absorbent material. Absorbent articles that include the composite are also disclosed.

Abstract: Methods for forming an absorbent fibrous composite containing absorbent material dispersed in bands through the composite and along the composite's length are disclosed. The methods generally include depositing a fibrous slurry on a foraminous support to form a web and depositing or injecting absorbent material into the web across its width to provide a web having absorbent material in bands along the composite's length. Drying the web provides a fluted absorbent composite. In one embodiment, the method is a wetlaid method and in another embodiment, the method is a foam-forming method. Preferably, the methods are twin-wire forming methods.

Abstract: A clip design for securing an object to an article of clothing on a wearer. The clip contains first and second display surfaces for conveying a message, slogan or other device to a wearer and to others in proximity to the wearer when the clip is in use. The display surfaces are oriented in a direction opposite from each other and positioned such that a message contained on the surfaces are oriented in a direction to be visually perceivable by the wearer.

Abstract: An electrical connector (2) includes a living hinge (40) joining a cover (36) to a main connector housing (10). The cover (36) functions as a terminal position assurance or locking member. When properly positioned, the cover (36) backs up terminal latches (18) securing terminals (70) in housing cavities (14). The living hinge (40) is located on the rear edge of the cover (36) which pivots forward to enclose a housing opening (32) on the mating half of the electrical connector (2). Longitudinally extending projections (52) on the cover extend beside the living hinge (40). Longitudinally extending projections (26) extend from a housing wall (22) beside the living hinge and toward the projections (52). The projections (26, 56) are rotated into overlapping relationship when the cover is closed and interlock the rear of the cover (36) in the event of damage to the living hinge (40).

Abstract: An integrated modular store fixture system having a tray assembly for displaying merchandise. The tray assembly includes a tray support having front and side panels and a slidable tray in sliding engagement with the side panels to slide between a forward and rearward position. A pusher is provided to slide along the tray to press merchandise forwardly towards the front panel. A divider for separating the tray into compartments is provided with means for gliding along the width of a channel formed in a front member disposed the front panel. The front member includes an additional channel to receive a front stop.

Abstract: An integrated modular store fixture system has at least two spaced apart parallel vertical members at the rear of the system with side surfaces facing each other and having a series of aligned holes therein. A display assembly or a pull-out tray assembly is engageable with holes into members for holding merchandise to be displayed at the front of the system. The assemblies include two side support elements, each extending from the rear to the front of the system when in the mounted position with one end at the rear having members projecting transverse to the support elements and each projecting member inserted into one hole in one vertical member. The side support elements are releasably retained in the mounted position by a horizontal elongated stretcher member having downwardly depending pins and which are slidably received in tubular members on each support element. A tray or J-hook is mounted on the support elements for holding merchandise to be displayed.

Abstract: An integrated modular store fixture system provided with display assemblies, each having side support members and a base therebetween. At least one separator is disposed parallel to the side support members and perpendicular to the base and is mounted for slidable movement across the front of the display assembly to permit adjustment of the position thereof while preventing upward movement of the separator. As a result, the display assembly can be selectively configured to receive and display packages of different sizes.

Abstract: An integrated modular store fixture system provided with a plurality of C-shaped rigid frame members, each having two horizontal arms and a vertical spine connecting the two arms and disposed at a rear portion of the unit and a plurality of rigid spacer elements connecting the frame members together in a spaced apart parallel relationship. A plurality of trays for holding merchandise to be displayed are releasably mounted between successive spines.

Abstract: A product display rack having a series of vertically spaced tiltable tray assemblies movable simultaneously between a first inclined position to permit gravity-fed product package loading of the shelves and a second inclined position for display and gravity-fed product package dispensing. The rack includes a hinged header which is automatically displaced upwardly when the tray assemblies are in the first position to provide unobstructed access to the uppermost tray assembly.

Abstract: In a data information display device for use with products displayed in a shelf environment. The unit includes a bracket which is designed to mount either adhesively to the front edge of a shelf or by adhesive or other gripping means to a typical ticket rail mounted on the front edge of a shelf. Depending from the bracket is a support member which rotatably carries a data-carrying member having two surfaces, the front surface carrying information for a consumer of the goods and the rear surface carrying information used by store personnel for reorder purposes. The unit normally hangs in a position with the consumer information visible. By simple rotation of the member of the data-carrying member the store reorder information becomes visible and, when utilized, the supporting force is removed and the data-carrying member resumes its normal position.
