  • Patent number: 4128119
Abstract: An apparatus for processing short lengthed, elongate waste timber workpieces to usable timber beams of relatively long length includes a cutter device for cutting wedge-shaped tenons into the ends of the elongate workpieces, a gluing device for applying a thin coating of glue to the cut tenons on each end of each workpiece, and a press device for pressing the workpieces together such that the cut tenon ends of each workpiece is glued to the cut tenon ends of another workpiece to form a timber beam.
